ABOUT THIS TEAM
The Design Assistant Texture role sits within the Concept Design Organization. Our goal is to elevate the Lululemon product by creating unique and original artworks for knit and jacquard. Our team will drive excellence in performance Knits and Jacquard through the connection of design, development and merchandising. This position has the opportunity to create with some of the most interesting and advanced knitting machines on the market with a support team of experts to advise you.
A DAY IN THE LIFE
· Support the textures design team in designing artworks, preparing presentations, gathering research for seasons
· Organize the Texture guides and work connecting departments
· Presentation is very important. Being able to be organized, sharp and clear so the department is shown in the best way possible is crucial
· Creating work from design into execution, including tech packing and PLM
· Using teams and Flex PLM to insert the artwork in the database for production and sampling
· Adjusting the print and incorporating feedback into the design
QUALIFICATIONS
- 0-2 Years industry experience
- BA, BFA or BS in Textile design or similar
- Proficient use of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
- Strong interest in exploring a career as a fabric designer
- Understanding of weaving textile constraints
- Understanding of various print techniques, fabrics and garment construction
