a day in the life

  • Research and stay informed of relevant global cultural and aesthetic trends, and global guest preferences
  • Support the Senior Designer by creating mock ups of their styles
  • Create and maintain colour deliverables to capture the final coloured assortment to handover to cross functional partners
  • Support the Senior Designer in creating and updating tech sketches
  • Support the Senior Designer by taking detailed notes during fittings and updating styles accordingly, and develop a thorough understanding of all styles the Senior Designer is working on
  • Support the Design team in maintaining the coloured assortment
  • Systematically manage files, documents, and accurate records and notes, in order to support the Design team
  • Maintain and organize the design space, sample library and keep track of inspirational samples

 

qualifications

  • 0 – 2 years minimum industry experience is required; experience in men's and/or high performance apparel preferred
  • BA, BFA or BS in Design (or equivalent)
  • Proficient in Adobe Suite (In Design, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Design skills - To support the team in creating garments that are aesthetically pleasing, functional and commercially viable. This includes supporting the team in creating mock-ups, relevant note taking during fittings and updating styles
  • Communication - clearly articulate design ideas and concepts to the team, stakeholders and cross functional partners, both verbally and visually. It also involves listening and incorporating feedback
  • Innovative Thinking - Generate new ideas, processes and solutions that push the boundaries of product creation. It involves thinking outside of the box to produce fresh, innovative ideas
  • Organizational skills - Systematically manage files, documents, research and inspirational samples, and keeping accurate records and notes, in order to support the design team

Compensation and Benefits Package 
lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $55,300 - 72,600 CADannually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program subject to program eligibility requirements.
