The Accessories Designer, Special Projects role sits within the broader Accessories Design team. Our team's core values include trust, support, and courage with good intentions. core responsibilities

  • Under the mentorship of the Design Managers and the VP Design, along with collaboration of the Design Director of Special Projects, you create and develop the full assortment for special project accessories from inception of ideas to production
  • You are responsible for designing and executing accessories collections that reflect lululemon’s Accessories DNA that consider both the existing product collections of the mainline accessories
  • and the individual needs of each of Lululemon’s ‘Special Projects’
  • You combine active product user experience, market knowledge, and trend research to create functional, innovative, quality designs
  • You connect with the accessories designers to understand seasonal big ideas and key innovations while collaborating with the Special Projects team to ensure cohesion across each of the collections between apparel and accessories.
  • Teamwork and clear communication are essential. You work closely with design partners, product development, raw materials development, merchandising, sourcing, color/print/graphic and design operations to ensure you have the most up to date product information.
  • You have razor sharp attention to detail around both product and process and can prepare and effectively present design concepts that communicate the direction.
  • You adhere to strict timelines and calendar dates to deliver exceptional product, ‘on-time and in-full’.


qualifications

  • 5-8 years relevant industry experience in fashion accessories with a focus on bags;
  • understanding of other accessories product categories is a plus
  • Knowledge of construction, patterning, textiles, trims, technology and trend through
  • research, travel and product user experience.
  • BA, BFA, or BS in Industrial Design required (or equivalent experience)
  • Proficient in Adobe suite, especially Illustrator, Excel, Word, Mac platform
  • An understanding in 3D design would be an asset

compensation and benefits package 

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $96,800 - $127,100annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
