about this team

The Global Packaging & Labelling team supports the entire business in the creation and commercialization of Brand and Product packaging and labels (everything from shoppers and ecomm packaging to product packaging and labels). We manage the day-to-day, season-to-season work as well as the longer term strategic planning. Our team’s expertise beyond the discipline of Packaging lies in operating as a service function that steers the cross-functional partners and processes required to bring packaging to life, and then supports the on-going management of those assets. Our multi-disciplinary responsibilities means we are a unique blend of business strategy, operations management, design, production, technology, and sustainability.

a day in the life: what you’ll do

The Global Brand Packaging Program Manager is a newly created role designed to centralize and lead the “Brand Packaging” category which encompasses retail shopping bags, ecommerce packaging, retail gift packaging, and transit packaging.

Key objectives of the role:   

  • Be the connector that brings the right partners together at the right time.
  • Keep cross-functional partners together, drive momentum, and enable on-time and on-budget decision-making. You are the heart of the operation.
  • Create the documentation, reports, and presentation tools required to facilitate the work.
  • Bring clarity, flexibility, accountability, and a positive attitude to every project. You set the tone.
  • Build relationships and collaborate with internal partners such as Marketing, Creative, Retail Operations, Procurement, Supplies, DC, & Finance. As well as multiple external packaging production partners. Your ability to speak their language will facilitate your success as the centralized Program Manager.
  • Your experience or appreciation of the world of Packaging is obvious and enables you to operate successfully within a Packaging environment. And what you don’t know, you are keen to learn quickly.
  • Understand lululemon’s Sustainability and Innovation objectives and figure out how packaging can deliver into these goals. Planning for the future through the lens of Sustainability is a core competency.
  • Champion high-quality packaging in the face of divergent interests and impacts across the business.
  • Move seamlessly between strategic & operational planning, writing briefs, attending design reviews, making timelines, running meetings, managing deadlines, and managing material production—sometimes all in the same day.
  • Become the trusted, go-to resource for all things Brand Packaging at lululemon.


  • 5+ years of direct experience with business operations or program management
  • Minimum BA, BSc, BComm, or equivalent education required
  • Proficiency w/ requisite business tools (MS Office, Smartsheet, etc…)
  • Agency, in-house marketing and/or design management experience is a major asset

must haves

  • Proven project management experience and ability to lead multiple projects at once
  • Experience working with creatives and production vendors
  • Experience with technical production methods and processes
  • Experience with retail and fulfillment operations
  • Proven oral and written communication skills with all levels of management including senior (VP+)
  • Basic financial acumen
  • Excellent interpersonal skills—you are collaborative, fair, ethical, approachable, and seek to solve problems together as a team
  • Brings a friendly and fun attitude to the team. We like to balance the serious and technical side of our work with a lot of levity and fun!
  • Ability to travel internationally is mandatory
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate meetings with Europe and Asia time zones.  
  • Position is based in Vancouver, BC. It is currently a hybrid office role with a minimum 2-3 days in the office and the remainder at home, if desired.
