About this team

The Senior Architect will play a key role on our International Marketing Technology team in our journey to become the CRM leader that better understand and serve our guests. This position will support the international marketing technology and engineering team, work extensively with business units, project stakeholders, and cross-functional technology team members (both internal and external vendors) to design, define, implement, sustain and leverage our data ecosystem across our platforms and our programs. 

As the Senior Architect for Marketing Technology, you will be responsible for the design, development, configuration and support of technology solutions to drive the execution of our global digital marketing strategy. The solutions you build will involve high transaction and data volumes, APIs, and systems integration across both on-premise and cloud environments. You are an expert at designing and delivering best of breed solutions spanning the full digital marketing technology stack.

A day in the life:  

·       Act as the technical lead and drive the vision and engineering for platforms, services across the marketing technology stack.

·       Create technical vision & provide thought leadership to lead best-in class integration and wire together disparate marketing technology applications. 

·       Design , coordinate, and execute pilots and proof of concepts with relevant technologies within the Marketing Technology platforms (data warehouse and external cloud systems) for marketing integrations technologies. 

·       Ensures high-performance of digital marketing platforms through optimal architecture and development of code and articulates best practices to developers. 

·       Work closely with our lead or domain architects and software development teams to support and guide development teams implementing your solutions and educate teams on corresponding technical aspects. 

·       Continue to evolve the future state architecture for the MarTech platform in partnership with domain architects.  

·       Create architecture artifacts, including design documents and roadmaps

·       Develop and monitor adherence to integration standards and will utilize these standards to design solutions that meet operational requirements, such as scalability, maintainability, security, reliability, extensibility, flexibility, availability, and manageability. 

·       Deep understanding of identity resolution and identity management across multiple tech stack for a single view of the customer in an omni approach.

·       Deep understanding of integration technologies and practices as well as the business acumen to develop overarching system designs. 

·       Deep understanding and hands-on knowledge of tokenization as well as data encryption and security best practices for PII data ingestion, transformation and encryption (both at rest and in transit).

·       Design modifications to existing integrations while minimizing customization, design reusable components, and elimination of redundancy in designs throughout team's environment. 

·       Investigate new technologies and techniques and research ongoing industry developments through a partnership with the Architecture team. 

·       Mentor delivery teams on adopting new ideas, process and technologies. 

·       Have a forward-thinking, empathy driven mindset with people and development at the forefront. 

·       Provide operational support to supported technology and systems within the International Digital Marketing organization. 

·       Engage with business and technology leaders to understand strategy, articulate solution options, evaluate tradeoffs and influence key decisions

·       Stay current with emerging technologies and industry & market trends

 

Qualifications: 

·       Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering and/or applicable experience in information / computer technology field. 

·       Very strong technical skills with at least 10+ years hands-on design, coding, integration, and deployment experience in enterprise applications. 

·       5+ years experience in architecting and delivering marketing technology solutions

·       5+ years experience in designing cloud solutions within the MarTech stack (Microsoft Azure suite, SnowFlake, Azure Data Factory, DataBricks, …). Hands-on experience is an asset.

·       5+ years systems integration experience, API development and deployment using CI/CD tools

·       Proven records of integrations with messaging tools (such as SalesForce Marketing Cloud, Responsys or equivalent) and knowledge of SFCC and MuleSoft is a strong asset.

·       3+ Years experience in data warehousing and analytics projects, experience with report design on tools like Power BI, Tableau or equivalent

·       Understanding of SEM, and experience with Google marketing ecosystem

·       Ability to manage multiple activities at once in a fast-paced, demanding environment

·       Ability to effectively communicate at different levels across the organization, influence and partner with stakeholders and deliver complex information to nontechnical audiences.

·       Experienced working in an Agile software development environment. 

·       Experience integrating with Cloud/SaaS applications, APIs, SDK of packaged applications and legacy applications. 

·       Experience directly leading, developing people and teams is required. 

·       Experience building microservices is required.  

·       Knowledge about headless commerce and implementations is required. 

·       Deep knowledge in DevOps, CICD practices is a must. 

·       Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a high degree of professionalism in working collaboratively at all levels inside and outside of the organization.
