a day in the life: what you’ll do

Responsible for developing detailed solution roadmaps for a specific system, projects and applications. Partner with engineers and project management to ensure implementation meets design expectations and enterprise architecture standards. Responsible for the solution/system Design of System architecture and roadmap. Will utilize architecture best practices and standards in design and build. Design and document re-usable and scalable frameworks and components. Provide first level effort and cost assessments to departmental initiatives. Continue to evolve the future state architecture for the eCommerce platform in partnership with domain architects. Develop and monitor adherence to integration standards and will utilize these standards to design solutions that meet operational requirements, such as scalability, maintainability, security, reliability, extensibility, flexibility, availability, and manageability. Coordinate & collaborate with counterparts in other departments to ensure technology solutions are built for the enterprise. Assist management in making technology decisions by weighing in on risk and ROI. Participate and contribute to yearly strategic initiative planning and funding discussions. Collaborate with Product Management, Domain Architects and Lead Engineer to bring projects from concept to implementation.

 

Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days/week. 

 

40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.  

 

qualifications

Must have a Bachelors in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field plus 6 years of post-baccalaureate progressive experience in software engineering.

 

Of the required experience must have 4 years of experience working at a retail/supply-chain organization in Solution Architect capacity.

 

Of the required experience must have 4 years of experience in all of the following (which may be gained concurrently): 

  • Solutioning end-to-end full-stack applications, integration of SaaS and PaaS systems
  • Working with Cloud infrastructure including AWS
  • Building technology roadmaps spanning 3-5 years
  • Experience in vendor evaluation and scoring of new technologies/tools
  • Working with architectural frameworks and patterns
  • Designing and implementing integrations using micro-services and Kafka
  • Working with SAFe®/agile project delivery methodologies
  • Full-Stack development experience including using Java, Spring, Angular, React or NoSQL/Relational DB technologies
  • Application systems and business practices in the Retail/Supply chain industry realm including RMS, PLM, or WMS.

This role is classified as Hybrid under our SSC Workplace Policy: 

In-person collaboration is important, and much of the role can be performed remotely. Work is performed onsite at least 3 days per week.

compensation and benefits package 

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $185.000,00 - $205.000,00 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
