a day in the life:

Reporting to the Manager, Financial Systems, the Senior Financial Systems Analyst is accountable for both the strategic and day-to-day operational oversight of the Planning & Budgeting module of Oracle EPM. The incumbent will help identify and document opportunities to improve efficiency, including technological and business processes. The individual will work alongside the Technology group to provide technical expertise and recommendations regarding design and implementation approaches.  They will serve as a gatekeeper of the overall financial planning and budgeting side of EPM and maintaining system integrity while remaining flexible to how we run our day-to-day business.

main responsibilities:

  • Gatekeeper of data by establishing formal controls and standards of our financial data as FP&A’s key reporting input.
  • Lead for establishing new international localized EPM user support model, including onboarding new team member and leading roll out of training and documentation processes.
  • Elevate overall EPM experience by enhancing partnership with downstream and upstream FinTech applications.
  • Document current state process, identify process gaps, implement changes, and update process; documentation/work instructions and other tools to support execution
  • Recommend system enhancements and process efficiencies, including testing and implementation.
  • Develop and foster relationship with FP&A & Technology teams to capture requirements, prototype solutions, provide demos, test and support the final deliverable.
  • Develop and conduct ongoing EPM and Smart View training.
  • Participate in ongoing cross-functional initiatives to provide system knowledge and highlight capabilities.
  • Provide ad hoc analytical support as directed.

required skills, experience and academic/education requirements:

  • University degree in any of the following fields; IT/MIS, finance, project management, or accounting.
  • 3-5 years professional work experience in a large multinational brand corporate or consulting environment in an IT or Finance/FP&A department.
  • Understanding of Planning/Forecasting process as well as Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and Income Statement concepts.
  • Strategic and analytical thinker that takes pride in quality.
  • Experience with Oracle or other large ERP systems is essential and understanding of system architecture.
  • Strong ability to adhere to deadlines under pressure.
  • Proactive, flexible, dependable and solution oriented.
  • Experience in working with cross-functional teams and with non-finance individuals.
  • Excellent team player and ability to work independently.
