This role is part of the Sustainability team shaping the future of Impact within our brand and business. This team leads and integrates our vision and initiatives across the company to create value for our brand, our collective (guests, employees, makers, ambassadors), society, and the environment. The result is an innovative, purpose-driven brand creating a future that we want to live in. As our Sr. Impact Risk and Disclosure Manager, you will report to the Senior Director, Strategy, Integration, and Reporting. The team is responsible for setting social and environmental enterprise goals and strategy, guiding integration of impact into the business, and reporting credibly and transparently. This individual will take an enterprise systems view to assess and address ESG risk, deliver key risk-driven disclosures. This role will also lead enterprise-wide projects that embed and accelerate impact initiatives in service to our strategy and proactive regulatory compliance.

 

a day in the life: what you’ll do

 

Environmental Disclosures

  • Stewards strategic environmental disclosures including the Climate Transition Action Plan
  • Leads CDP disclosure for climate, water, forests
  • Supports on preparation for mandatory climate and environmental disclosures 

 

Impact Risk

  • Develops and delivers system for measuring and monitoring enterprise social and environmental risk and integrates into annual Enterprise Risk Management process
  • Monitors the ongoing landscape regarding human rights, climate, water, waste, biodiversity, and other emerging issues; creates an annual risk and trends report
  • In partnership with legal, tracks and interprets regulatory requirements that require risk assessments, including Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive and supports teams on due diligence process implementation for environment and human rights
  • Leads enterprise social and environmental risk assessments (environment, human rights, biodiversity) and financial impacts (including TCFD disclosure), in support of proactive sustainability due diligence
  • Manages and oversees internal and external impact policies and position statements (e.g. Human Rights Policy, Forestry Policy, Animal-derived Materials Policy, etc.)

 

Environmental Risk

  • Refreshes climate scenario risk model in partnership with the climate team including quantification of different types of risks. Articulates lululemon’s climate transitional and physical risks to relevant stakeholders and supports integration of resiliency plans as needed.
  • Determines other environmental- related risks across our value chain in partnership with vendor environmental, product teams and other cross-functional partners, integrating mitigation plans, as necessary

 

Qualifications

 

Academic / Educational

  • Minimum Bachelors degree in a related field
  • Advance degree preferred: MBA or Environmental Sustainability Management, or related field

 

Required Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years of applied experience including in global apparel / retail brands, Risk management and consulting experience required; Experience working in large corporate settings, a plus
  • Strong experience in one or more areas of environmental sustainability: climate change, circularity, nature and water; knowledge of social and governance sustainability topics a plus
  • Ability to drive cross-functional stakeholder alignment internally in support of enterprise-wide outcomes
  • Strong organizational skills and project management experience, leading a multi-stakeholder project from beginning to end
  • Experience writing or contributing to ESG disclosures, particularly CDP
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, self-awareness, and emotional intelligence
  • Analytical capabilities with high level of attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Prior experience with climate risk scenario analysis is strongly preferred
  • Strong eye for detail, while being able to see the bigger picture

Compensation and Benefits Package 

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $130,800 - $171,700 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
