About this team
The Senior People and Culture (P&C) Partner is a credible business-oriented solution provider and trusted partner. You deliver generalist support for our Store Support Centre (SSC) employees in Regional commercial functions in APAC, including, counsel and guidance in talent management, employee relations, development, absence management and you actively manage all aspects of people related matters autonomously and to ensure a proactive level of support is provided to the business.
A day in the life:
Business Partnering
- Be a P&C advisor to Business leaders for building and developing the leadership team that creates an inclusive and thriving work environment
- Provide effective and timely P&C support and counsel to managers and team leaders on various P&C related topics including assisting to interpret defined P&C policies and procedures.
- Provide coaching and advice on career development, recruitment practices, succession planning, compensation and performance management, diversity & inclusion and other HR practices.
- Provide compliance related topics and needs to be P&C for Regional function leaders to comply the local requirement by closely working with Asset Protection and Legal.
- Review people data to identify trends across SSC and provide recommendation on action plans for improvement related to employee engagement and retention
- Support organization design reviews and implement change management actions and communication.
Employee Relations
- Offer first line ER support, in partnership with People Practices, for all SSC ER cases, including disciplinary up to and including termination.
- As required in partnership with people practices, lead and conduct investigations regarding violations of our company’s standards of conduct etc.
- In partnership with Health & Wealth (H&W) team, support Managers with role accommodation/modification requests and follow up with internal and external partners to support return to work planning and long-term absence.
- In partnership with people practices, ensure compliance for all corporate policies & procedures, all local laws.
- Support to establish the labor union and communicate closely with P&C for Business leaders for necessary follow up
Performance Management
- Support Managers through coaching performance management and improvement in order to assist in improving employee’s performance.
- Facilitates and offer guidance to managers on the Performance Improvement Process (PIP).
Talent Development and Workforce Planning
- Provide Workforce Planning advice and support hiring managers to determine future resourcing needs and develop plans for retention, and recruitment based on company Strategy, predicted skills gaps, and employee turnover.
- Partner with Talent acquisition and FP&A,
- Partner with H&W team to determine applicable salary.
- Support P&C Manager with delivery of annual people programs including Pace, compensation review and bonus programs
People Operations
- Manage employee pulse processes for SSC, monitor employee engagement and provide advice and recommendation to managers to identify, develop and implement action plans.
- Make recommendations on continuous improvement of policies and practices, in line with legislation and best practice.
- Validate and confirm that all P&C administrative forms/systems are correctly completed by managers with appropriate approvals, and regularly create and maintain employee records in Workday.
- Partner with Talent acquisition to support and facilitate on hiring and onboarding processes
- Ensure that all Workday people transactions and reporting is completed in a timely manner along with general P&C administration management in partnership with People Experiences support team.
- Closely work with Learning & Leadership Partner and cross functional leaders to create SSC engagement and events.
- Work closely with 3rd Party recruitment agency and legal team on hiring offshore employee in different locations
- Any other duties and tasks that assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Business (Human Resources Management degree preferred).
- 5-8 years’ experience in P&C BP/generalist experience, ideally in the retail or commercial functions (or other similar fast paced) sector.
- Experience coaching and developing team capabilities; trusted partner with skills to support leaders to lead from clarity
- Consulting and collaboration skills – skilled at consulting with wide variety of partner types.
- Strong knowledge of employment law and ability to apply to a variety of situations.
- Experience managing employee records (HRIS), and working with other HR Systems.
- Personal responsibility to see issues through to resolution and meticulous attention to detail.
- Integrity – Do what they say they will do, by when they say they will do it.
- Open to giving & receiving feedback – they feel there is always more to learn and have a willingness to admit failures.
- Strong written and spoken English and Cantonese
