about this team

The Inbound Logistics and Global Trade technology teams are committed to unlocking business potential with our Global Fulfillment partners, especially in the Inbound Logistics and Global Trade spaces. Supporting both vendor and propriety systems the teams provide solutions to enable our partners in supporting the optimized flow of product from our finished goods factories into our DC’s and streamlining the lifecycle of international trade across logistics and settlement activities, including but not limited to components such as product classification, import/export process management and commercial invoice information. We are a fast-paced growing team focused on achieving compliance and logistics and cross-border financial savings. 


We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Technology Manager who will oversee the Inbound Logistics and Global Trade technology teams. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the success of your teams and proactively identify the most high-value deliverables and keep the team focused on meeting quality standards. You are a leader who is comfortable managing team members with various skillsets and can communicate expectations clearly to all team members. You operate as an owner and are an advocate for your people who understands we are stronger as a team than as an individual.

 

core responsibilities

  • Develop tactical and strategic plans, roadmaps, and business cases in collaboration with business partners and other technology leaders
  • Lead and develop a team of architects, business analysts and engineers focused on delivery and support 
  • Partner closely with other Supply Chain Technology managers and architects to ensure new and existing solutions create a friction-free experience for our global employee base
  • Lead efforts for new technology selection including Build vs Buy assessment, development of RFI/RFP, review, and evaluation through to final recommendation
  • Demonstrates thought leadership and mentor team members to leverage technology best practices around architecture and design
  • Ensuring team produces software that meets business and technology requirements which is resilient, monitorable, performant and maintainable
  • Ensuring the right skills are being used to solve the right problems by supporting the team with coaching, skills development, and career path leadership
  • Work with project stakeholders to map business requirements to project deliverables, resource planning & project plans
  • Identify and remove roadblocks to success
  • Vendor management of key software and services 
  • Being a role model and lead awareness and training for your team in our IDEA program - Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Action


qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience enabling key business priorities through the successful delivery & support of technology, and 4+ years as a leader overseeing a broad range of talent
  • Experience in leading development using Java, Angular, Kafka and microservices framework
  • Experience & working knowledge of AWS Services (AWS Docker ECS, AWS load balancer, S3) is a plus
  • Experience working and leading in a DevOps operating model utilizing Cloud infrastructure
  • Experience in developing object-oriented development frameworks within Agile/Scrum
  • Strong track record of managing external vendors and service providers 
  • Experience supporting a broad group of stakeholders
  • Experience driving adoption of technology through education, training, and other organizational change management strategies
  • Strong collaboration skills to achieve business goals collectively across broad teams
  • Challenges the status quo, champions change and influences others to change
  • Strong preference for those with experience leading technology teams responsible for implementing, enhancing, maintaining supply chain systems in a heavily integrated environment, utilizing both vendor SaaS platforms and in-house engineered applications
  • Strong retail industry and/or supply chain business acumen required

compensation and benefits package 

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $158,900 – 208,500 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rwards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
