A day in the life:
Reporting into Senior Manager, APAC Product Compliance, the China Product Compliance Operations Manager executes and monitors strategies and processes to mitigate risks associated with regulatory, safety and quality issues across all product and packaging categories to ensure our products and packaging are compliant for sale in China and APAC regions.
Core Accountabilities:
Product and Packaging Compliance:
• Manage China product compliance testing program to GB/FZ standards, including designing and executing product compliance testing strategies and managing related risks
• Collaborate with the Global Quality Technical Services team to create and/or update testing protocols to meet GB standards
• Manage packaging compliance programs for APAC and China in partnership with the Global Regulatory Compliance team and APAC Legal team
• Manage internal audit testing programs to identify product and process compliance gaps, investigate root causes, and communicate corrective and preventative actions (CAPA) to senior leadership
Product Compliance Operations and Special Projects
• Manage investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions related to non-compliance cases in partnership with Global Product Integrity team, China Government Affairs, and APAC Legal
• Manage implementation of preventive actions to minimize recurrence of issues and risk of financial and reputational loss
• Lead implementation of China Voice of Guest (Voice of Customer) project in partnerships with corporate Voice of Guest team
• Lead and manage compliance projects for APAC and China as required
Qualifications:
• Bachelor Degree in textile, product testing, apparel industry or related field
• 7 years+ of experience – China product testing and compliance background preferred
• Experience with China laws, regulations, product safety and recalls applicable to apparel and accessories an asset
• Proven ability to excel in a highly collaborative environment
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, problem solve under pressure and tight timelines, escalate issues as needed and support leadership with strategic decision making
• Self motivated, passionate, detail oriented, critical thinker, intellectually curious
• Jump in and go, adapt quickly, learn from failures and move forward
• A team player that truly believes they are successful when the organization is successful
