About this team

Working in SSC (Store Support Center) as a member of International (China, APEP & EMEA) P&C department and the Business Partner team, you have the chance to work with a passionate, fun, warm and efficient team, as well as enjoying the unique lululemon value and culture.

You will be keeping up pace with retail, Ecommerce business and SSC operational speed to provide reliable, professional, comforting and fun experience of P&C services. You are one of the Business Partner connection windows to face SSC members and regional & global fellows on daily bases.

People & Culture systems, dashboards and reports are your major working tool and trusted data sources, while business partnering and solution consulting are the key tasks providing to P&C BP and COE teams in China, APAC, EMEA and Globally. People element is also critical for this role to behave and present the way of work and how we live.

A day in the life:

Based in Shanghai, reporting to VP, Business Partnering-International as:

  • A strategic project manager to work closely with International P&C VP and global/regional teams on diagnosing opportunities, facilitate discussion about operating model and process, performance development, talent planning etc. and implement strategic initiatives which all impact our team and organization effectiveness.

·       We are expecting the role as a strategic partner, change agent and communication enabler on developing international P&C team engagement, capabilities and effectiveness.

·       The role will be also acting as an value added P&C business partner for other international functions (e.g. Finance, Technology,  Product, Localization etc.) to develop and implement people strategies on team effectiveness, performance management, capability enhancement, people engagement and retention according to the short, mid and long term business development needs.

Core Responsibilities

·       Reports to Vice President, People & Culture Business Partnering, International.

·       Work with regional People & Culture Director(s) and global COE teams in leading change initiatives and solving organizational problems at international level.

·       Partner and consult with leaders, people and culture business partners and global COE teams to design and facilitate succession planning, talent management and people development initiatives with measurable outcomes. The work includes collect, analyze and present data to describe talent management strengths, gaps and opportunities.

·       Work closely with global and international P&C teams to identify issues, diagnose root causes, provide insights, offer recommendations and develop proactive solutions to solve current and potential talent challenges in the international markets, such as organization effectiveness, workforce planning, people engagement, capability building, attraction, retention and talent development etc..

·       Leverage COE talent activation frameworks and regional P&C team to develop Talent Program and Practices across international markets that facilitate career development and serve the organizational goals.

·       Partner with global/international H&W teams and regional P&C teams to manage total rewards cycles, including annual merit reviews, bonus program, promotions, and out of cycle requests across international markets.

·       Partner with global/international Talent Acquisition and regional P&C teams with a strong focus on talent pipeline, hiring effectiveness and talent movement across regions. 

·       Work as a strategic partner, change agent and communication enabler on developing international P&C team engagement, capabilities and effectiveness.

o   support the development of international P&C community and team engagement.

o   actively evaluate and facilitate review on international P&C operating model effectiveness and capability development needs to ensure our resource investment in the areas of highest priority.

o   build effective communications mechanism and initiatives across international P&C teams to increase team effectiveness and strategic alignment.  

·       Lead and manage on-going continuous improvement activities, including operating model transformation in partnership with global/regional stakeholders


·       12+ years experience in HR, at least 2 years in business partner role of multinational organization with matrix and collaborative working environment

·       Subject expertise in HR Consultation, Organization Development, Talent Management and Team effectiveness are preferred.

·       Strong consulting, organizational and program management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

·       Exceptional English written, verbal, and presentation skills with experience presenting to senior level audiences

·       Proven ability to design and implement strategic initiatives and process, including change management, talent development and related areas

·       Ability to demonstrate data analytics skills and the ability to align P&C solutions with business imperatives

·       Ability to collaborate across functions and demonstrate maturity in relationships with managers and executives at all levels

·       Fast learner and has passion to drive changes
