About This Team

The People & Culture Business Partner team is responsible for providing strategic support to the organization for all people related matters, ranging from organizational development, performance management, employee relations, to team and leadership development.  In partnership with the People and Culture Centers of Excellence, they work closely with people managers and employees to accomplish business objectives through the application of thoughtful, intentional, and innovative people support. As our Director, People & Culture Business Partnering, you will partner with our leaders in Global Distribution and Global Fulfillment on key people initiatives, as well as  lead, coach, develop and empower the P&C Business Partnering team for the orgs to contribute excellence to the business with a drive for simplified and standardized service and program excellence.

Day In The Life

·       Partner with cross functional COEs to operational and optimize P&C Global Fulfillment strategies into the day-to-day business operations: P&C Business Partner team, Talent Acquisition, Health and Wealth, Learning and Leadership, Health and Safety, Asset Protection, Labor Planning, Communication, Legal and People Operations

·       Partner with the business to design, implement and lead the strategic people roadmap to maintain and increase high employee engagement and enable the business to scale along with the rapid growth of the Global Fulfillment org

·       Partner with the business to deliver on key people KPI's (e.g. turnover, engagement, compliance, integrity line calls, etc.)

·       Oversee the delivery of front-line P&C expert counsel and guidance in talent activation, employee relations, compliance, and change management

·       Lead and manage a high performing team of P&C Managers, Sr. P&C Advisors, P&C Specialists and P&C Coordinators, to ensure P&C services and cyclical people processes are effectively meeting the needs of the organization

·       Supports client group with long range planning efforts through our Annual Operating Planning process, ensuring headcount and people initiative funding meets the needs of the business growth efforts

·       Leads client group through organizational design and change management efforts

·       Partner closely with Financial Planning & Analysis and the business on strategic headcount budget usage and consults on creative solutions to solve for unforeseen roadblocks

·       Develop, implement, and optimize P&C support initiatives through development of the strategic people roadmap that creates an inclusive and thriving work environment.

·       Influence the direction of P&C practices, processes, and policies by researching, assessing and responding to policy issues and identifying emerging trends and risks in human resources.

·       Build positive relationships with all stakeholders with a common understanding of the P&C vision and strategy.

·       Successfully design and implementation employee focused initiatives across the entire employment lifecycle that drive engagement and reduce union engagement risk

·       Continually maintain currency of legislative requirements of all global areas to ensure compliance with all statutes.

·       Provide expert advisory services to the team and business leaders regarding employee relations matters including the sensitive and appropriate management and resolution of conflict, under-performance, misconduct, complaints and investigations.

·       Approve employee relations decisions of hourly and SSC staff

·       Approve over key decisions from P&C Centers of Excellence (COEs) that impact hourly and salaried staff


·       University Degree preferred

·       CHRP and/or PHR or SHRM designation an asset

·       10+ years experience in P&C, at least 5 years in a management or business partner role

·       Minimum 4 years leading and managing a team of HR Generalists

·       Experience leading HR Generalists that support Distribution, Manufacturing or Fulfillment Center environment or

·       Broad P&C knowledge and ability to facilitate the delivery of P&C advisory services to the business

·       Demonstrated operations knowledge with P&C expertise and an understanding of the talent landscape

·       Ability to demonstrate data analytics skills and the ability to align P&C solutions with business imperatives

·       Ability to collaborate upwards, downwards and across

·       Experience operating in a multi-site operation, spread across diverse geographical locations

·       Proven track record with ability to effectively allocate resources, establish targets, and manage performance
