about this team
The People Enablement Technology team is committed to enabling seamless, best in class experiences for our global workforce. The Workforce Agility Team within the People Enablement Technology organization is the technical owner of core workforce planning technologies and corresponding technology roadmaps. This team works closely with our omni-channel business sponsors to scale workforce technologies in alignment with our strategic focus. The Senior Business Analyst Lead is passionate about all the things that data can unlock for the business and our people.
a day in the life
The Senior Technical Business Analyst works closely with business stakeholders and technology teams on mid to high complexity, high impact projects to support our internal business needs and guest experiences.
Responsibilities include:
- A leader by nature and by function, seeking to understand and help others understand key facets of the business
- Converting and documenting business requirements into technical requirements
- Translating business strategy into roadmaps for consumption by teams
- Prioritizing requirements based on business and technical needs
- Developing and documenting testing strategies and managing testing execution
- Leading impact assessment, and dependency management and ensuring architectural decisions included in design
- Aligning overall scope and sequencing recommendations with business and technical stakeholders
- Utilizing artifacts such as business requirements documents (BRDs), JIRA, Confluence and Business Process Documentation to facilitate requirements alignment sessions
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gain alignment within constraints of the project or work
qualifications
- Workforce management and workforce planning experience, including but not limited to experience with Dayforce, Kronos, eTime, and similar platforms
- Experience with data migration, PAAS and SAAS technologies and vendor relationship management is a plus
- 5+ years of business analyst experience
- Strong experience providing technical requirements for medium to large initiatives
- Experience working with both agile and waterfall delivery methodologies
- Proven facilitation and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be self-directed, proactive and work with a sense of urgency
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity to deliver results
- Demonstrated experience making tradeoffs between business needs and technology constraints while keeping the end user needs at top of mind
- Leadership experience either formally or functionally, a passion to grow as a leader on a team
