a day in the life: what you’ll do

Use algorithms, data structures, programming languages, programming paradigms to create, test and operate sustainable client-side or server-side software applications, services and platforms. Designand buildsoftware applications in varying (cloud,hybrid cloud, andon-premises)environments. Ensureapplications are designed to be highly available, observable, and durable via software engineering best practices. Work closely with onsite and remote frontend, backend and operations engineers to ensure deliverables are well-documented, secure and resilient. Provide DevOps thought leadership in delivery contexts, focusing on the requirements of lululemon's end-users and how they are best served by continuous improvements to our delivery approach. Engage in ongoing quality and performance improvement to ensure reliability andsecurity. Design for release and configuration management. Work with Senior Managers and Directors to ensure that platform development is appropriately funded and well defined for yearly/quarterly planning initiatives. Be a regular presence in Architecture and Engineering review boards and lead these efforts for their platform. Research new techniques and products to evolve their platform and take the practices they are promoting closer to their future state goals.

Telecommuting permitted up to 100%. Candidate may reside anywhere in the U.S. 40 hrs./week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. 


Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field and 8 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in Information Technology. OR Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field and 6 years of work experience in Information Technology. 


Of the required experience, must have 6 years of experience in all of the following:  

·     Java 

·     Databases (Oracle or Postgres) 


Of the required experience, must have 5 years of experience in CICD (Git or Jenkins). 


Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience in all of the following: 

·       AWS, GCP, or Azure 

·      Kafka

Workplace Arrangement

This role is classified as Remote.

Outside reasonable commuting distance to an office site, work is performed from home.

Compensation and Benefits Package 

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and teamperformance. Thetypical hiring range for this position is from $185,400 - $205,400annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
