about this role
As Senior Program Manager, Policy & Compliance you will develop and maintain policies and programs to support our global employment compliance goals. Responsible for elevating lululemon’s compliance capability, with successful oversight and delivery of multiple key NAM and global employment compliance projects. You will simplify and streamline the way in which employees and leaders gain compliance support & services, improve the operational efficiency of defined processes, and mitigate risk for the company. Additionally, you will define and prioritize employment compliance requirements across a range of stakeholders and cross functional partners in order to bring these capabilities to life. This role will have a focus on pay compliance.
core responsibilities
- Build and maintain employment compliance project plans in alignment with compliance program and operating model; lead employment policy & compliance discovery, define, and design work across multiple functions
- Manage project scope, including analysis of current state, and identification of key activities linked to risk and compliance requirements
- Execute project initiatives, manage change and drive process improvement
- Partner and collaborate across the organization to establish and follow up on mitigation plans and outline business cases for projects resulting from the risk assessments
- Apply project and change management principles to project planning and operations
- Ensure compliance with local legislation and deliver programs that meet the unique needs of the business, and provide for an employee experience in alignment with lululemon's global policies, practices and culture/values.
- Work in partnership with Legal to research employment laws and regulations, analyze their impact on the organization and communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Engage with external legal and HR consultants to gather employment compliance information and insights.
qualifications
- A post secondary diploma, degree or certificate in human resource management, employment law, or related field.
- Knowledge of employment/labour standards and human rights legislation and industry trends.
- Certificate/training in Project Management.
- 5+ years of Human Resources experience with a focus on compliance and policy development.
- 2+ years project management experience, including handling multiple and complex projects simultaneously, and working in an environment that requires agility, innovation, and collaboration.
- Expert understanding of compliance regulations and ability to translate policies to action.
- Experience in retail and understanding of the unique needs across across multiple business units (i.e. stores, GEC, DC, SSC, etc.)
- Excellent analytical, written, verbal, research, and communication skills.
- Highly ethical and able to deal with confidential issues with tact & discretion.
- Excellent organizational skills and abilities, detail-oriented and committed to a high degree of accuracy.
- Adaptable and flexible; motivated to drive results in a fast-paced environment where change is a constant.
- Passion for solving people and process problems and dedication to delivering a positive employee experience.
- Ability to build relationships quickly and an effective team player.
- Good judgment with an understanding of when to ask for guidance or input.

Compensation and Benefits Package
lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $103,500 - $135,900 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
