About this team
With the leadership and support of the Distribution and Logistics Manager, the Warehouse Operations Manager builds capabilities within their teams to execute the overall DC strategy and achieve results for their department. They work cross-functionally with key partners in our Store Support Centres and Retail Operations to effectively achieve or exceed goals and produce outcomes in line with the company vision. They are a leading example of self-development to those around them and have a certain affinity for the sweatlife. You can also find the Warehouse Operations Manager present on the floor encouraging and energizing their team. The Warehouse Operations Managers are responsible for all aspects of their assigned department operations as well as the development of their people. 


A day in the life: 
  • Responsible for planning, monitoring and reporting to ensure a premium service level for our stores and guests
  • Identify new partners and lead partner negotiations
  • Partner with Global Inbound team on inbound freight optimization from port to door
  • Manage reverse logistics flows and ensure cost targets are met
  • Manages relationships and contractual agreements with Logistics Service Providers (LSPs)
  • Ensures that all of our LSPs are working to the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) set for On Time Performance (OTP) and Delivery in Full On Time (DIFOT)
  • Ensures strict compliance with all local and international laws
  • Establishes security improvements in line with International Customs objectives
  • Partner with other regions of APAC to support logistics as needed
  • You manage and oversee the operations and team in your department of the DC 
  • You develop a pipeline of talent by working closely with your team of Warehouse Operations Supervisors and providing them with guidance, coaching, direction and feedback in leading their teams of Warehouse Associates
  • You understand the critical timelines and calendar events in your department and ensure you are proactive in recruitment and scheduling for the team
  • You provide a high level of customer service and meet SLAs to the wider business including retail stores, strategic sales partners and e-com guests
  • You manage employee performance including but not limited to attendance, adherence to policies and health and safety protocols, PACE process and documentation
  • You lead strategic projects and assignments in partnership with the Distribution and Logisitcs Manager as required
  • You provide a work environment that is entrepreneurial, fun and inspiring to all workers at the DC
  • You are responsible for the CPU targets based on annual budget and volume forecasts
  • You provide administrative support, labour performance, and metrics tracking reporting
  • You ensure strict compliance with all local and international laws
  • You drive industry complaint health and safety practices always 
  • You establish security improvements in line with International Customs objectives to better protect and secure company assets, staff and visitors to the facility
  • You are an innovator and are constantly developing and maintaining effective operational controls and performance monitors
  • You love numbers and effectively manage annual operating budgets and capital requests as well as deliver operational and expense improvements 

Qualifications:
  • You have 5 – 8 years directly managing distribution center operations
  • You have relevant retail/e-com industry experience and have experience managing teams
  • You have a solid understanding of all aspect of warehousing management systems 
  • You have strong leadership and motivational skills.
  • You have exceptional integrity
  • You have excellent planning and organizational capability.
