A Day In The Life

This role partners with P&C Centers of Excellence, P&C Product Managers, Technology teams & peers to deliver an optimized digital experience for our people.  This is achieved through delivery of strategic initiatives & projects, recurring maintenance activities to ensure upkeep of our HCM solutions, system/process enhancements, data/reporting and ultimately driving for data quality in our systems. 

Activities will include:

  • Act as technical P&C subject matter expert for both new and reoccurring initiatives to ensure seamless and on-time delivery (incl. intake, analysis, prioritization, deployment planning, testing, test management, tracking, progress reporting and implementation)
  • Field & direct requests from cross functional partners for new or changed digital enhancements through our formalized intake process to ensure alignment with our strategic goals for prioritization  
  • Translate business requirements into functional requirements
  • Conduct root cause analysis and research to provide solution recommendations to peers & stakeholders
  • Partner with People Technology teams to configure solution, ensuring compliance with relevant HR program/policy/procedures
  • Create and maintain systems configuration requirement documents pertaining to new or changing functionality
  • Communicate cross-pillar dependencies to P&C Product Managers, peer Functional Analysts & IT People Systems team to mitigate risks in downstream systems
  • Create and update knowledge base articles, job aids and training materials to support change management stemming from system or process changes
  • Report creation and regular data audits to mitigate data quality issues in our core system of record
  • Identify people systems optimization opportunities (data, process, functionality)
  • Vendor management activities such as ticket escalation, reproducing system errors and support maintenance of issue log
  • Coach and train People Experience Centre team members so that they have the knowledge needed to confidently support the business with ticket requests
  • Support P&C Partners/stakeholders with training and day to day Q&A
  • Resolve ServiceNow/Workday inbox ticket escalations and troubleshoot as needed


  • 3+ years of experience in HR Ops as a HR Analyst (or similar)
  • 2+ years demonstrated work experience supporting HR system implementations or managing HR programs/solutions
  • Experience working in both Agile and waterfall delivery methodologies
  • Moderate subject matter expertise of HRIS (Workday preferred) with strong working knowledge of HCM business processes such as recruitment, onboarding, job changes, compensation changes, merit and bonus programs, leaves and absence at large organizations
  • Strong requirements management skills incl. elicitation, scoping, prioritization, risks/issues management (ideal candidate has experience working within Jira & Confluence)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data
  • Proven troubleshooting and training facilitation skills
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills – both with internal stakeholders across all levels and external vendors 
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent steams of work with a drive to get things done within tight deadlines 
  • Very organized with high attention to detail
  • Enjoys identifying and executing on process improvement strategies
