about this team

The Senior Business Analyst plays a critical role in supporting new market entry and expansion by translating complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements. This role leads stakeholder engagement activities, including workshops and interviews to gather and prioritize requirements, and develops key project artifacts such as business requirements documents and process maps. With deep subject matter expertise in People & Culture (P&C) functions and a strong understanding of the HRIS landscape, the Senior Business Analyst assesses where global solutions can be applied or adapted to meet local needs. 


They work closely with global business partners, COEs (P&C Centers of Excellence) and technology teams to align on scope, prioritize requests for implementation and identify risks or compliance considerations. Additionally, they support testing efforts by collaborating with enablement teams (e.g. Technology) and end-users, and support change management efforts. This role is essential in ensuring scalable, compliant, and efficient P&C processes across new and expanding markets. 

 

core responsibilities

Requirements Gathering & Process Design 

  • Conduct detailed business analysis to define requirements for all new market entry (NME) and expansion work. This includes leading workshops, conducting stakeholder interviews, and ensuring all requirements are fully documented, prioritized, and approved. 
  • Identify and document business processes, creating process maps that illustrate the relationship between the operating model and technology platforms. 
  • Develop and leverage key project artifacts such as Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), process maps, and regional playbooks to facilitate requirements sessions and inform solution design. 
  • Assess configuration options provided by enablement teams (e.g., Technology) to meet business needs and collaborate to support solution design and configuration. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration & P&C Domain Expertise 

  • Leverage deep subject matter expertise in People & Culture (P&C) functions and a robust understanding of the HRIS landscape to determine where existing processes and platforms can be leveraged or require market-specific variations. 
  • Lead collaboration with global business partners, P&C Centers of Excellence (CoEs), and technology teams to align on scope and sequencing recommendations.
  • Identify potential risks and impacts of implementing processes and systems in new markets, ensuring legal and compliance requirements are met. 

Testing & Change Support 

  • In partnership with systems analysts, develop test scenarios, review test cases to ensure alignment with business requirements, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by clarifying requirements and troubleshooting issues. 
  • Collaborate with project managers and internal teams to support the creation of training materials and communication plans for end-users in new markets. 


qualifications

  • 5+ years of business analyst experience  
  • 5+ years demonstrated work experience in core human resources functions  
  • Experience in developing business requirements and mapping business processes in mapping software such as Visio or Lucidchart for large and complex processes 
  • Strong understanding of the HRIS landscape & service platforms (Workday, Avature, Dayforce, Docebo, ServiceNow) 
  • Experience working with both agile and waterfall delivery methodologies 
  • Strong facilitation & stakeholder management skills 
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills 
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills

compensation and benefits package 

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $103,500–135,900annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program and, subject to program eligibility requirements.

In-person collaboration and office-based work is necessary and important for this role. Work is performed onsite, 5 days a week, depending on role requirements.
