About this team

Reporting directly to the VP, Merchandise Planning and working directly with the Product Manager—Licensed Markets, this position is responsible for strategic execution of licensed markets inventory flow, including optimization of inventory supply quantification & deployment to maximize potential of market demand. 

Teamwork and clear communication are essential.  You are an essential part of the cross functional team collaborating with merchandising, store operations, DC network planning & licensed market buyers/planners. You have razor sharp attention to detail but also able to think big picture.

A day in the life:

·       Supporting Product Manager in managing & executing compelling product assortments for licensed market partners that integrates strategic vision, guest insights, and meets or exceeds financial objectives

·       Partners with licensed market buyers/planners in managing OTB and KPIs to identify and to solve for any inventory concerns

·       Work in partnership with HK DC/Logistics teams to execute the efficient and accurate flow of merchandise to partners, including reviewing & systematically processing all weekly orders for shipping

·       Supports Product Manager in execution of the seasonal Licensed Market Buy

·       Leverages systems, tools, and data to drive optimal inventory investments for licensed markets partners

·       Recommends seasonal merchandise flow strategies that maximize sales and guest experience

·       Executes detailed analysis to drive performance within licensed markets

·       In partnership with Product Manager, supporting day-to-day communication from Global to Licensed Market partners regarding relevant delivery information, product markdowns, re-orders, cancellations & additions to the seasonal offer

·       Supporting the accuracy & data integrity of the reporting for seasonal in-line business (on-order, product flow reporting)

·       Analyzes historical data and current trends to identify risks and opportunities to business and recommends strategies to achieve financial goals

·       Prepare and participate in Licensed Market Product Review meetings

·       Executes planning, reporting, analysis/decision support under the direction of a manager or planner

·       Drive financial results that maximize sales, inventory and bottom line profitability

·       Exhibit initiative to look beyond the everyday business to look for opportunities to maximize sales potential

·       Support manager in ad-hoc reporting, market research, and other miscellaneous projects as needed

Qualifications:

·       College certificate or University degree is required

·       1-3 years merchandise planning experience

·       Previous experience with merchandise and planning systems.

·       Expert knowledge of Excel is required.

·       Excellent team player as well as the ability to work independently.

·       Effective communication skills (written & verbal)

·       Extremely organized, thorough and able to prioritize

·       Detail orientated

·       Strong ability to see the merchandise vision and translate the vision into viable plans.

·       Results oriented – strong sense of motivation

·       Self directed problem solver, proactive and resourceful
