about this team


The International Product Design team is responsible for designing the eCommerce websites for all countries outside North America, providing guests with an intuitive and seamless on-line shopping experience.


a day in the life: what you’ll do


  • Generate ideas and evolve design solutions to guest experience problems/requirements brought to the team by Product Management and the wider business.
  • Problem analysis, background and user research, user journey mapping/design, ideation, solution development, UX prototyping, iterating UX designs, refining UI designs, presentation and socialization of designs, and briefing tech teams on design implementations.
  • Direction and/or specifications from Product Management
  • Provide designs/prototypes and design specs to validate and iterate on solutions to the development teams and other stakeholders such as Product Management.
  • Design an intuitive and seamless on-line shopping experience for guests on our international websites.
  • Understand and synthesize complex business requirements, to deliver human centered work-flows and empathetic product experiences.
  • Create presentations and mock-ups to story-tell the design work and vision to stakeholders.
  • Deliver comprehensive and pixel-perfect final designs to the cross-functional scrum teams.
  • Deliver guest experiences that drives revenue to the business.
  • Document design-work clearly, for knowledge sharing and/or implementation.

qualifications


  • BS or BA degree (or equivalent experience) in Human-Computer Interaction, UX/UI/Design Diploma or Degree, or a related area.
  • At least 5+ years of experience in a product design or user experience design role (with a strong focus on UI).
  • Expert-level skills in Figma or other similar design and prototyping tools.
  • Experience in user research, user testing and other human centered design approaches.
  • Practical understanding (including capabilities, patterns and limitations) of current technologies used to build rich experiences in web based applications, and iOS/Android.
  • Superior relationship-building, and communication skills within cross-functional teams and with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong strategic thinking and organizational skills.
  • A portfolio of work that showcases apps and sites that are intuitive, beautifully designed and thoughtfully crafted.
  • Experience designing for large, complex, global systems, is a plus.
