about this role
As an Ecommerce Category Specialist for North America, you are responsible for driving the near to mid-term ecommerce guest experience and category performance. This position is responsible for helping optimize lululemon’s website to increase conversion and drive sales through product content, navigation, filters, search, and online merchandising strategy. Work will be highly collaborative, with cross functional partners including merchandising, visual merchandising, digital marketing, brand creative, technology and analytics.

Ideally you will have strong e-commerce merchandising/trading experience; with a good commercial understanding and an analytical grounding to drive key business decisions. We are looking for someone who is highly entrepreneurial and enjoys working in a fast-pace environment, where flexibility is key.

This role requires a passion for all things digital with a comprehensive understanding of the ecommerce marketplace, including macro trends, major relevant players and industry best practices.

a day in the life: what you’ll do
  • Responsible for the online guest journey, identifying new areas of opportunity to improve the guest experience and drive incremental sales. Leveraging onsite behaviour, and online assortment analysis
  • Ensure website is updated to reflect key products, categories, and events to drive business objectives and improve conversion rate
  • Accountable for the quality and accuracy of the online merchandising
  • Monitor and report weekly, monthly, and quarterly on performance against objectives and changing regional business needs
  • Good understanding of website best practices, UX, site performance, Optimizations etc. In order to advise and support the wider UX strategy
  • Execute assortment strategies and product assortment online
  • Work closely with the Search and SEO teams, with an ability to clearly digest and assess the impact of search/SEO terms. Implementing tactics to provide a tailored guest experience
  • Partner with merchandising and merchandise planning teams to inform omni assortment plans
  • Bring data driven approach to decision making process across partners and team, ensuring that improvements can be tracked and validated on an ongoing basis
  • Provide personalized experience through partnership with analytics and CRM teams
  • Suggest and define relevant AB tests to maximize guest experience and conversion
  • Provide support across wider projects in both online merchandising and guest experience

qualifications
  • 5+ years in ecommerce merchandising or ecommerce buying/merchandise planning
  • Knowledge of Digital Merchandising tools/systems, Oracle Endeca or similar (Sales Force/Demandware or Atrraqt/Fredhopper)  
  • Experience with large sku counts or complex and diverse assortments
  • Strong understanding and comfort with web analytics and financial analysis, (Google analytics/Adobe Omniture or similar)
  • Ability to lead and influence within a matrix organization
  • Strong interpersonal, communication skills, and a team player
  • Highly organized and exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong problem solving, decision making, and project management
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines in a high paced work environment
  • BA in Business Administration, Marketing or Communications would be an asset
