A day in the life:

Based in the Shanghai Store Support Center (SSC) and reporting to Director, Global Security & Resilience, the China Asset Protection Manager will take primary responsibility for execution of the Asset Protection program in China as well as contribute to the regional and global success of the function. This person will work closely with China leadership, cross functionally across key regional functions, and the global Asset Protection team.

·       Be the ambassador for all things Asset Protection and Safety; develop a strong culture of ethics, integrity, and personal responsibility in the China business

·       Advise and collaborate with China and regional leadership to develop and implement effective risk mitigation strategies for retail network

·       Analyze inventory shrink results and work closely with retail leadership to develop appropriate strategies to reduce losses from external theft, internal theft, and operational error

·       Conduct a regular cadence of retail store operational audits to foster operational excellence, key control compliance, improved inventory accuracy and shrink performance, and a strong AP culture

·       Identify training opportunities and develop suitable training content

·       Provide Asset Protection support for new store openings in area of responsibility; including but not limited to security system design, store leadership security & safety training, security arrangements, and post-opening follow up

·       Develop effective strategies to prevent, identify, and investigate fraud and loss in alternative channels, e.g. mobile ambassadors/affiliates, partner sales, digital payment, pop-up stores, etc.

·       Lead and conduct sensitive internal investigations into theft, fraud, corruption, dishonesty, and major violations of Company policy

·       Work closely with local Brand & Community teams to ensure safety and security at all brand events in area of responsibility; assist in the execution of regional brand events as required

·       In close partnership with Corporate Security, manage security needs of corporate offices, including but not limited to security systems, evacuations plans and training, sample controls, etc

·       In close partnership with People Safety team, localize and manage safety initiatives in area of responsibility

·       Respond to all safety and security related incident reports, providing risk mitigation guidance as needed

·       Provide on-the-ground support for supply chain security initiatives and investigations as required

·       Assist Legal team in brand protection related investigations as required

·       Provide Asset Protection support to traveling senior executives as required

·       Work closely with the global Business Resilience team to ensure organizational readiness to respond to regional crisises

·       Develop and maintain a strong network of industry peers, subject matter experts, service providers, and government agencies  

Qualifications:

·       5+ years in corporate security, internal audit or related function; retail asset protection and/or retail operations experience an advantage

·       Wicklander-Zulawski non-confrontational interview training and/or related experience an advantage

·       Outstanding communication skills, including proven ability to influence in all areas of an organization

·       Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time and at short notice

·       Fluency in written and spoken English and Mandarin Chinese
