    The Retail Initiative Planning team is responsible for leading the strategic planning, timing, and communication of initiatives that impact North America Retail. We act as a central connection point between the Store Support Centre (SSC) and our field teams, ensuring initiatives are aligned to business priorities, sequenced thoughtfully, and enable store teams to deliver best-in-class guest experiences.  
    We own and drive the initiative intake process, facilitate cross-functional collaboration to integrate work into the operational calendar, and lead store and SSC enablement. Our work includes developing communication strategies, reporting and analytics, and strategic recommendations to support decision-making. We partner closely across the business to identify risks, improve visibility, and support key retail moments and events through intentional planning and operational readiness.  
     
    a day in the life: what you’ll do 
    As the Program Manager for Retail Initiative Planning in North America, you manage complex projects and lead cross-functional efforts with multiple stakeholders. You lead high-impact revenue driving initiatives, oversee a 6-24 month strategic roadmap, handle Annual Peak Season planning for NA Retail Stores, and manage 2-3 major Retail Operations initiatives each quarter. 
     
  • Oversee the planning, design, and delivery of Retail Operations-driven cyclical strategies impacting North American Retail Stores, including cross-functional stakeholder engagement, communication, timeline management, readiness assessments, risk mitigation planning, and decision-making frameworks. 
  • Develop and design store-ready operational programming, programming & solutions that enable lululemon stores to achieve strategic objectives  
  • Responsible for managing multiple cross functional projects and executing the delivery of urgent solutions to drive key NA business initiatives  
  • Drive large-scale complex operational planning and communications, such as North American Kick-off and RM/SM Communications. 
  • Create store communications, content, and resources for North American retail stores. 
  • Sustainment and continuous improvement through measurement, reflection, and iteration of key retail moments and initiatives year over year 
  • Gains alignment with retail leaders to drive enrollment and execution in key retail moments and initiatives that impact store operations.  
  • Lead and influence functional and cross-functional teams to design and deliver integrated solutions that enable the achievement of organizational goals and objectives  
  • Enroll retail leadership and partners in the vision, strategies and tactics to bring programming to life; fosters deep collaboration between Retail Operations and retail leadership  
  • Work with the Senior Manager, Retail Initiative Planning to assess ongoing North American Retail needs, creating quick-turn solutions as needed that maximize business results while minimizing impact on the retail store teams

 
qualifications 

  • Bachelors degree or higher in business operations or related field or equivalent experience in similar field/industry  
  • Experience leading in strategic programs and/or large-scale projects with proven execution skills  
  • Expert in project management tools including Microsoft Powerpoint, Microsoft Excel and Smartsheet  
  • High level of discretion and judgement in the application of operational change principles in an organization  
  • Experience leading diverse, large-scale collaborative teams and driving objective-focused facilitation  
  • Exceptional interpersonal, presentation and communication skills; ability to build relationships and collaborate  
  • Self-starter, proven results in creating structure and strategy

Compensation and Benefits Package 
lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $103,500 - 135,900 CADannually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program subject to program eligibility requirements.
