Job Summary

The Asset Protection Lead will support the success of the guest experience and asset protection support model for store locations. They will support store leadership teams with protecting our people and preventing loss by maintaining a visible professional presence throughout the store. The AP Lead will promote a safe and secure environment by greeting and interacting with guests, while educating store teams (in collaboration with Field Asset Protection support teams) on ways to minimize safety or security related incidents.


Key Responsibilities of the Job

  • Deliver asset protection training that is rooted in our culture and core values
  • Gather intelligence and information on theft or fraud related incidents
  • Report all incidents in a timely manner to store leadership and asset protection support teams
  • Lead and support with emergency and crisis related incidents impacting the store location.
  • Maintain a visible presence at the front entrance(s) of the store in the company provided uniform to promote a safe and secure environment
  • Collect intelligence by monitoring or performing surveillance to report all external theft or fraud incidents to the asset protection field support teams.
  • Support with people safety, health & safety, and government related incidents and concerns
  • Complete and support with the monthly people safety audit
  • Support with the protection of our people and property in assigned stores

Guest (i.e., Customer) Experience

  • Support team in resolving guest feedback and address guest concerns or escalations to make it “right” for guests.
  • Move dynamically on the floor to assess and fulfill the needs of the business, team, and guests. 
  • Greet, interact, and educate all guests in a professional and personable way.
  • Gather Intelligence and direction from field asset protection teams, Store manager, Assistant Store Manager(s) and Floor Leaders direction, coaching and advise for the support of guest experience

Working with Others

  • Contribute to a respectful and inclusive team environment by welcoming and celebrating differences to ensure a supportive and engaging experience for all team members and guests.
  • Establish supportive and productive relationships with all team members.
  • Influence and build relationships with neighboring retailers, property security teams, and local law enforcement.

Operations

  • Open and close the store in accordance with the opening and closing checklists.
  • Understand and adhere to people safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Perform work in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, and laws or regulations.
  • Support investigations into external theft or fraud related concerns - Input theft, fraud or safety related incidents into case management systems

  • Support store leaders with assessing and assisting in emergency or crisis related situations.
  • Support and lead the education of store teams on risk related incident/concerns impacting the neighborhood/community .

Job Requirements

Eligibility

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country in which the store is located
  • Must be 18 years of age or older 
  • Must have proof of the Right to Work and evidence relating to associated local legislative requirements (EMEA only)
  • Must have the ability to travel to assigned store with own transportation methods

Availability

  • Willing to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Other Willingness Requirements

  • Willing to work as part of a team and also complete work independently
  • Willing to work in an environment with bright lights and loud music

Experience

  • Previous retail experience, specifically frequent interactions with guests
  • Ability to maintain a visible presence at throughout the store
  • Calm demeanor when dealing with stressful situations
  • Asset Protection, law enforcement or loss prevention experience an asset

Job Assets (i.e., nice to have; not required)

  • Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Experience: 1 year of retail/sales leadership experience (supervisor or people management not necessary)
