ABOUT THIS TEAM

Our Global Distribution DC Support functions are part of our greater lululemon Supply Chain organization. This team is responsible for the overall Health and Safety, Facilities and Production Control of our North America Distribution Centers.


A DAY IN THE LIFE

The DC Health and Safety Supervisor role will be based in the distribution center and report to the Safety and Security Manager, Global Distribution.  The role will provide support to the health and safety program in the distribution centers as well as contribute to the regional success of the function. This person will work closely with Distribution Center leadership and the Asset Protection team.


  • ·       Lead and develop health and safety technicians on each shift
  • ·       Produce weekly health and safety activity reports to DC leadership
  • ·       Manage health and safety team schedules
  • ·       Produce and deliver health and safety awareness programs to DC workforce. 
  • ·       Lead emergency response team for building
  • ·       Maintain health and safety compliance record keeping
  • ·       Delivery of Health and Safety trainings (PIT, FA, CPR)
  • ·       Talent Management of Health and Safety Technician role
  • ·       Partners with P and C S. Advisor on Health and Safety related employee concerns and investigations
  • ·      Oversees health and safety program for an individual distribution center to ensure we are creating a healthy, safe, secure, and compliant DC environment
  • ·       Partners with DC Director on site specific items to advise on Health and Safety strategy
  • ·       Meet compliance requirements for health and safety training programs
  • ·       Avoid costs from injury incidents and potential regulatory reviews
  • ·       Coordinates workers compensation program and modified duty work 
  • ·       Advise DC Leadership on DC specific hazards, risks, and safety opportunities 
  • ·       Coordinates safety personal protective equipment (PPE) inventory

CONTRACT ROLE TILL AUGUST 2024


QUALIFICATIONS

  • ·       5+ years in health and safety role, retail safety and/or distribution center operations experience an advantage
  • ·       Supervisory experience required
  • ·       Occupational health and safety degree, diploma, or certificate would be an asset
  • ·       Occupational Health and Safety (OSHA) general industry certification and/or pursuing Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or CRSP for Canada designation required
  • ·       Outstanding communication skills, including proven ability to influence in all areas of an organization
  • ·       Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
  • ·       Ability to meet attendance requirements  
  • ·       Ability to lift up to 50lbs frequently  
  • ·       Ability to maintain a safe work environment 
  •       Flexible and adaptable with schedule which could include nights, working required holidays, some weekends with occasional after-hours requirements
