Location: This role will be based out of either Vancouver, Canada or Seattle, USA. Remote candidates with flexibility to work during Pacific time zone (PST) business hours may be considered.

A day in the life: 
Global Procurement strategically partners with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to create value and mitigate risk in strategic non-product purchases for the global organization. The Technology Procurement category team is responsible for management of $250M+ in annual technology and digital spend, including systems & software, hosting infrastructure, hardware and professional services. The Category Lead will:

  • Develop RFX documents through compilation of business requirements
  • Lead strategic sourcing events and supplier negotiations end-to-end, including contract reviews and redlining
  • Lead complex RFXs which may involve cross-departmental coordination
  • Analyzing spend data and other resources to identify savings opportunities and uncover additional insights
  • Interpret complex spend data, market knowledge and RFX data to conduct fair value analysis and propose supplier recommendation
  • 3+ years in procurement related role
  • SCMP or equivalent procurement professional designation is a plus
  • Experience in software/SaaS negotiations and contract reviews required
  • Strong ability to communicate and build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels 
  • Experience in analyzing complex data to develop insights and quickly learning and adopting new methods and processes
  • Project management and international experience are a plus
  • Excellent PC skills (Microsoft Office), knowledge of P2P/e-sourcing platform an asset
