about this team

The Retail Optimization department supports North America stores with optimizing store processes, integrating new categories, and creating the strategy for continued growth within our stores.

 

The Retail Space + Standards team focuses on generating operational excellence through continuous improvement and physical space projects to drive exceptional guest experience.  This includes the design, development, and delivery of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and the creation of standards and resources to support our retail stores in maximizing their operational productivity within their physical spaces.

 

a day in the life: what you’ll do

Lead the design, development, and sustainment of standard operating procedures that drive operational efficiency and elevate execution in North America retail stores.  Partner with the Senior Retail Engineer to analyze operational data and time studies, using insights to create scalable, field-informed SOPs.  Collaborate cross-functionally to validate and implement solutions that align with labour standards, technology, and broader retail strategies.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and design frameworks, programming & solutions that enable lululemon stores to achieve strategic objectives
  • Manage complex and intersecting projects, aligned to the NA Retail Strategy: manage roadmaps and timelines, prioritize work, communicate progress, identify risk, manage budgets, and ensure high quality deliverables 
  • Lead and influence functional and cross-functional teams to design and deliver integrated solutions that enable the achievement of organizational goals and objectives
  • Analyze and process datasets to identify trends, discover insights, and drive decision making by providing clear recommendations and obtaining steer from stakeholders; drive discovery efforts to frame challenges and develop solutions grounded in operational insight
  • Lead change management and influence learning efforts for relevant programming, identifying impacts, assessing readiness and developing change and learning activations  
  • Drive enhancements of operational practices to identify opportunities and improve outcomes and key performance metrics in NA retail stores
  • Sustainment and continuous improvement through measurement, reflection, and iteration
  • Enrolls retail leadership and partners in the vision, strategies and tactics to bring programming to life

 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of retail leadership or retail operations experience required
  • Experience leading in strategic programs and/or large-scale projects with proven execution skills
  • High level of discretion and judgement in the application of operational change principles in an organization
  • Experience leading diverse, large-scale collaborative teams and driving objective-focused facilitation
  • Exceptional interpersonal, presentation and communication skills; ability to build relationships and collaborate
  • Expert in project management tools including Microsoft Powerpoint, Microsoft Excel and Smartsheet
  • Self-starter, proven results in creating structure and strategy

Compensation and Benefits Package 
lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $103,500 – $135,900 CADannually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program subject to program eligibility requirements.
