about this role

This role is part of the Sustainability team shaping the future of Impact within our brand and business. This team leads and integrates our vision and initiatives across the company to create value for our brand, our collective (guests, employees, makers, ambassadors), society, and the environment. The result is an innovative, purpose-driven brand creating a future that we want to live in. As our Impact Disclosure and Risk Manager, you will be part of the team responsible for setting social and environmental enterprise goals and strategy, guiding integration of impact into the business, and reporting credibly and transparently. This individual will deliver key public Impact disclosures, with a focus on environmental topics. The role will also support enterprise-wide projects that embed and accelerate initiatives in service to our strategy and proactive regulatory compliance.

 

a day in the life: what you’ll do

  • Project manages key Impact-related reporting projects, with a particular focus on environmental disclosures (e.g. CDP, TCFD, environmental position statements, submission to external environmental surveys). Includes overseeing complex timelines; collaborating with cross-functional teams to collect, develop, and review content; working with external partners (e.g. design, copywriters); leading post-project reviews; and identifying recommendations for process improvements.   
  • Leads elements of preparation for mandatory climate and environmental disclosures, including conducting disclosure gap assessments, developing roadmaps to fill gaps in partnership with subject matter-experts, and drafting content to comply with evolving regulations in collaboration with our legal team. 
  • Monitors environmental disclosure landscape and trends, sharing implications and requirements with cross-functional teams, and conducting benchmarks to support disclosure planning.
  • Develops presentations, updates, and trainings on Impact disclosures for internal governance groups, executives, and subject-mater experts. 
  • Supports climate scenario risk modelling, including alignment to external disclosure requirements, stakeholder engagement, and content development for public disclosure. 


 

 

qualifications

 

Academic / Educational

  • Minimum Bachelors degree in a related field
  • Advance degree preferred: MBA or Environmental Sustainability Management, or related field

 

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years of applied experience including in global apparel / retail brands;  Experience working in large corporate settings, a plus
  • Experience developing and drafting ESG disclosures from end-to-end, particularly CDP
  • Knowledge of emerging environmental regulations, standards and frameworks (e.g. TCFD), and reporting/project management tools (e.g. Workiva, SmartSheet)
  • Strong experience in one or more areas of environmental sustainability: climate change, nature and water; knowledge of social and governance sustainability topics a plus
  • Strong organizational skills and project management experience, leading a multi-stakeholder project from beginning to end
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, self-awareness, and emotional intelligence
  • Analytical capabilities with high level of attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Prior experience with environmental risk processes or climate risk scenario analysis is a benefit

Compensation and Benefits Package 

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $103,500,800 - $135,900 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
