About this team

Vendor Operations & Engagement reports into the Global Sourcing team and is part of lululemon’s Supply Chain organization. This team takes the lead in creating, delivering and sustaining tools, processes and programs to support the Product and Supply Chain organizations and our product vendor base. 


The Vendor Operations and Engagement team cuts across strategy and operations to ensure lululemon has a robust vendor base to meet growing demands across geographies, product categories and new ventures. Key areas of focus are: Vendor Operations (including new vendor approval process, documentation, risk management, and vendor-facing processes and initiatives), Vendor Communications (management of our vendor-facing extranet and communication channel), and Vendor Engagement programs and events (encompassing vendor meetings, events and impact programs).


Reporting to the Manager, Vendor Operations, the Vendor Operations Systems Specialist is primarily responsible for leading the new vendor onboarding process, including the collection of vendor profile information and documents and the creation and sustainment of vendor data and documentation across systems. This role is perfect for a natural problem solver with strong attention to detail who thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.


A day in the life: 

  • Create and update vendor and facility data in systems as part of ongoing vendor and facility update requests and the new vendor approval process (NVAP) for new Finished Goods and Raw Material vendors and facilities
  • Continuously maintain vendor and facility data in systems, ensuring sustainment of an accurate and comprehensive record of all active parent vendors and their facilities
  • Administration of requests for vendor and facility user access to lululemon systems
  • Respond to vendor requests for support, connecting in with technology teams and cross-functional partners as needed
  • Administration of vendor access to vendor-facing sites, such as NVAP Portal and Global Family
  • Support with systems training for vendors and facilities as needed
  • Support with Vendor Operations & Engagement components of 2SQMS program
  • Support with developing, implementing and maintaining reporting and dashboards as required
  • Support with cross-functional meetings and partner with cross-functional teams on business initiatives as required
  • Implement best practices to support the collection and maintenance of vendor data in systems
  • See the bigger picture and understand the up and downstream impacts of changes to vendor data in systems


Qualifications:
  • 3+ years’ experience in operations, data management or other related field, preferably in a vertical apparel retail environment
  • Advanced technical skills and knowledge of vendor management tools; experience with CBX, Smartsheet and Power BI is an asset
  • Exceptional organization and data management skills, with strong accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and disseminate large amounts of information 
  • Strong interpersonal communications skills, with the ability to provide succinct instructions to a variety of audiences with different levels of systems understanding
  • Experience in building and maintaining reports and dashboards an asset
  • Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple priorities, work in a high-pressure environment and deliver under tight timelines
  • Self-motivated, passionate, detail oriented, critical thinker, intellectually curious, and ability to work independently
  • A team player that truly believes they are successful when the organization is successful
