About this team

As a member of the merchandise product team, the Planning team is responsible for ensuring financial success of the company. They work closely with Merchandising, Finance and Allocations to understand new product trends (Merchandising) and regional/climate selling, size trends, merchandise forecasting and overall planning architecture.  The team monitors the business on a daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis, understanding changes in trend and reacting to the business to maximize sales and mitigate risk. The priority is to understand and protect the guest experience – working closely with both the "Pre Season" Merchandising, and the “In Season” Country team, followed by delivering profitable sales growth (comp and GM$s).

A day in the life:

Based in Hong Kong and reporting directly to the Planning and Allocations Director, the APAC Planning Manager, will be responsible to ensure consistent execution of category trade performance in all markets. They will be the key owner in coordinating Finance, Pre-Season class plans & Country level plans together to ensure we optimise performance and all financial targets are being met across the region.

As a manager, this role will ensure understanding and compliance with Company and departmental policies/procedures and internal controls, as well as supporting country teams to monitor & drive performance through developed KPI’s.

Close working relationships with Finance, the Pre-Season Merchandising team and ‘In Season” Country teams will be critical to driving and growing the business


·   College certificate or University degree is preferred.

·   6-8 years planning experience in the apparel industry.

·   Previous experience with merchandise and planning systems.

·   Experience in managing, coaching and developing teams

·   Expert knowledge of Excel is required.

·   Excellent team player as well as the ability to work independently

·   Effective communication skills (written & verbal)

·   Extremely organized thorough and able to prioritize

·   Detail orientated
