Inbound Logistics is considered to be the complete process involving planning, managing and coordinating the flow of goods, services and information from the point of origin to its final destination. Lululemon global logistics ships to and from over 50 countries utilizing modes of transportation like air, land and sea. Whether it’s a strategic sales shipment to the European Union, an urgent shipment to the Olympics, product for a Yoga Conference in Japan, moving a mobile store for the Marketing department, or transporting purchase orders from our factories to our global distribution centers, the on-time performance and economics of the Global Logistics department is essential to the success of our brand. a day in the life: what you’ll do

  • Supports Inbound Logistics management with the timely receipt of product to our global distribution centers
  • Manages system milestones to analyze, track trends and improve processes, and communicates exceptions to Inbound Logistics stakeholders, the merchant organization, Distribution Center (DC) operations partners, and logistics service providers
  • Communicates closely with finished goods vendors, service providers, Origin Operations partners in Hong Kong, Sourcing team, Merchandising Planning and Allocation teams (MP&A), DC operations partners, and other internal and external partners as required, with visibility to inbound shipments, international DC to DC transfers, shipment exceptions to on-time-performance (OTP), and provides other visibility requisites as determined by the Inbound Logistics Manager
  • Optimizes cargo movement by analyzing consolidation opportunities and creates cost and service efficiencies
  • Investigates service failures and OS&Ds; ensures corrective and preventive action is initiated
  • Coordinates with the lululemon Customs Compliance team to ensure vendor documentation is in conformity with company and governmental policies
  • Supports scheduling, on-time delivery to appointments, good communication, and quality deliveries for global DCs
  • Coordinates allocation and routing with Logistics Service Providers
  • Proactively escalates receiving delays


  • Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or equivalent
  • 2+ years working experience within a logistics department (ideally in a retail environment) or logistics service provider  
  • An understanding and practical knowledge of retail environment, transportation and DC operations
  • Familiarity w/ world geography, Customs & trade compliance, tariffs, NAFTA and other Trade partnerships, Incoterms, and financial terms
  • Ability to think "outside the box" and thrive in a fast paced environment
  • Clear communications skills
  • Strong problem-solving and collaborative skills. Ability to synthesize data into comprehensive reports  
  • Excellent PC Skills (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deliver results by critical deadlines
