Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Payable Management:
    • Review and verify the accuracy of invoices from suppliers and vendors.
    • Process and record accounts payable transactions, ensuring proper documentation and approval.
    • Follow up on overdue payments and resolve discrepancies with vendors.
  • Invoice and Expense Review:
    • Ensure compliance with company policies by reviewing expense reports and invoices related to corporate representation and operational costs.
    • Validate the correctness of VAT and other tax-related details on invoices according to Mexican tax regulations.
  • Journal Entries & Accounting Records:
    • Record daily journal entries and ensure proper documentation for financial transactions.
    • Review and verify accounting entries to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial standards.
  • Accounts Receivable Management:
    • Monitor customer accounts, track payments, and ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices.
    • Reconcile accounts receivable balances and ensure all customer payments are correctly recorded.
  • Financial Reporting & Reconciliation:
    • Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, including P&L and balance sheet.
    • Support with monthly reconciliations of accounts, including bank, vendor, and client balances.
  • Audit & Tax Compliance:
    • Assist in the preparation and organization of documentation for internal and external audits.
    • Ensure proper accounting treatment in line with Mexican financial and tax regulations.
  • Collaborate with Other Departments:
    • Work closely with the procurement, logistics, and other teams to ensure smooth and accurate financial operations.
    • Provide support in resolving any financial issues or queries raised by other departments.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance roles (preferably in retail or fashion industry).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software (Oracle / SAP) and MS Excel.
  • Knowledge of Mexican tax regulations (CFDI, IVA, ISR, etc.) and financial reporting standards.
  • Proactive and detail-oriented, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Intermediate / Advanced English is a must.

Additional Skills (Preferred but not required):

  • Experience working in retail or fashion industry accounting.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and accounting software like SAP, Oracle, or similar.
