About this team

Imagine Design is the Architect of a product, and Technical Development is the Engineer. From concept through to pre-production stage, Technical Development is the front-line regarding communication with the finished goods vendor base, launching sketches, requesting sampling, fitting product and keeping an accurate data library of the life cycle of a product. Technical Development is a truly cross functional working group that pivot to partners such as Design, Quality, Merchandising, Finished Goods Sourcing, and Raw Materials to deliver a commercially ready product to our buying teams.

 

A day in the life: 

The Junior Technical Developer at lululemon creates world class athletic & lifestyle apparel that is acknowledged as leading in innovation, design, function, fit and quality. Under the mentorship & partnership of the TD, Senior TD, TD Manager, and TD Director; you develop the line from tech pack hand-off to the production of garments.  

 

  • Maintain data integrity in Flex PLM
  • Organize daily work-flow that adheres to GTM deliverables & development timelines
  • Develop and create tech packs in Flex PLM to communicate requirements for Design aesthetic, fit, and construction
  • Measure and review proto samples based on submitted tech pack

 

Qualifications:

  • 4 Year BA Degree with focused training in Technical Design, with 2 - 5 years minimum industry experience (preferably within the Technical Design and/or Patternmaking Departments)
  • Proficiency in MS office (Excel/Word/Outlook), Adobe Design Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop), with Flex PLM or similar PLM software is recommended
  • Familiarity or proficiency with Gerber Pattern Making and/or 3D
  • Driven by the technical aspect of the product creation process
  • Attention to detail, initiative, organization, strong verbal & written communication skills

Compensation and Benefits Package 
lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $74,700  -93,400 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
