Manager, BPAO Special Projects


The Manager, BPAO Special Projects reports into the Director, BPAO Strategic Initiatives, and leads the product collaboration portfolio at lululemon including Team Canada. This team works closely with cross functional partners on the global product creative, merchandising, supply chain, and brand teams to bring our product and brand partnerships to life. In addition to leading the custom go-to-market calendar for each collaboration, this role develops and ensures special projects strategies, objectives, timelines and budget are met, manages the relationship with third party brands/organizations, and support regional product teams in North America, EMEA, China, and APAC to ensure consistency in execution

 

What you will do:

  • Driver the execution of the Collab / Special Project deliverables through strategic guidance to Project Leadership and project workstream leads
  • Finalize project plan, ensuring Program goals and objectives are and remain aligned to the overall strategic objectives of the organization, acting as a champion of the Program
  • Leverages the strategy and project goals to develop Program Roadmap, Plan, and Budget alongside product stakeholders and Partnerships
  • Establish robust governance for Special Projects to drive visibility, tracking, and review for Collabs / Special Projects
  • Create and maintain Special Projects tools and templates
  • Responsible for coordinating and driving the resolution of issues escalated by the Project Manager or Workstream Leads
  • Deliver regular status updates to SLT, Exec Sponsors, Initiative Leaders, Cross-Functional Leadership, advise on resolution to issues and risks
  • Lead for product updates for executive sponsor, Steerco, etc.
  • Accountable for ensuring PMO deliverables are complete and on time
  • Responsible for communicating and reviewing key contractual product requirements related to vendors, factories, and quality regulations.
  • Accountable for calendar creation, identifying scope, and creation of the project plan for Special Projects
  • Facilitates Meeting week, OpCo, and Executive Sponsor when Product focused. Supports Partnerships when Brand focused
  • Engage all stakeholders from product to promote and resource the program. 
  • Support Partnerships and BPAO leadership with annual AOP process for collaborations and strategic planning, including the design and submission of all product related budget items for collabs, and the full COC/CPC Product Budget
  • Communicate AOP targets and budgets to workstream leads as well as reductions or changes to budgets throughout the AOP process
  • Manage intake process for each project
  • Partner with SLT and Partnerships to drive prioritization and focus on delivering strategic objectives and LRP goals
  • Accountable for relationship management and communication of external collaborator or agency in relation to all product components of the project. Scope flexes based on collaborator profile.
  • Accountable for logistics and operations related to external partner visits or onsites 
  • Lead process improvements within special project ways of working. Identify areas of opportunity and engage key stakeholders to drive program improvements.


Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of collaborations experience, relationship management, merchandising and/or project management. 
  • 3+ years of people management experience.
  • Proven ability to lead through others and produce results through cross functional teams without direct reporting.
  • In depth understanding of business functions and go to market requirements within product, brand, and retail.
  • Proven ability to form partnerships, build interpersonal relationships, and respect cultural diversity; ability to be inclusive, collaborative, respectful and support broad organizational interests. 
  • Proven ability to manage budgets of $6M+ and development of P&L/business cases.

Compensation and Benefits Package 
lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $107,500-$141,100annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
