about this team
Global Retail Design collaborates and co-creates with internal business units to develop, innovate and evolve retail experiential concepts, retail store design, and retail fixture design that embody the unique lululemon experience. The overall team is responsible for the establishment, governance and maintenance of global store design principles, guidelines and prototypical templates to ensure consistent design cues reinforce a strong experiential brand identity. Through clarity, focus and coordination we support the business strategies and elevate the guest experience through retail design innovation.

This role is a direct report into the VP Creative Director, Global Retail Design closely working with the Retail Design ‘Creative Concept’ team as part of the greater Global Retail Design Studio. You will work in close partnership with In-Store Marketing, Global Brand Experience Operations, Retail Brand Experience, Digital Brand Experience, Global Brand Creative, Visual Merchandising, Product, and Regional teams.
core responsibilities
The Senior Art Director - Retail Brand Creative is responsible for all global creative direction for key launches across windows, in-store touchpoints, and pop-ups/ins aligned to campaign and product storytelling. This role translates brand narratives into compelling physical expressions across our global retail fleet, ensuring every activation is emotionally resonant, commercially impactful, and locally executable at scale.
You will develop experiential and engaging creative concepts that excite and delight the guest of today and tomorrow, from street to key store touchpoints, as well as evergreen solutions for our fleet of stores. Acting as the connector between campaign concept and retail realization, this leader ensures cohesive storytelling across windows, store touchpoints, and key moments throughout the year.
As a new role for the brand, this role requires strong conceptual thinking and storytelling, exceptional ability to set the direction of intent, onboard teams and leaders, and the ability to guide creative from initial vision through to prototyping and global rollout. Balancing craft with operational realities, the Senior Art Director elevates the in-store brand experience while driving clarity, consistency, and innovation across markets.

compensation and benefits package
lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $130,800 – $171,700 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program and, subject to program eligibility requirements.
