About this team
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our global IT team supporting a leading athletic wear retailer. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our global network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Cisco Meraki, SD-WAN technologies, and enterprise routing and switching, along with a strong background in network troubleshooting and end-user support.
A day in the life
- Implement and maintain robust network infrastructure across global retail and corporate locations.
- Deployment and management of Cisco Meraki solutions, including wireless, switching, security, and SD-WAN.
- Manage and monitor SD-WAN environments to ensure seamless connectivity and optimal traffic routing.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex network issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support end-user connectivity, resolve incidents, and improve network performance.
- Develop and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and industry best practices.
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.
Qualifications:
Preferred skills:
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering, preferably in a retail or global enterprise environment.
- Proven expertise with Cisco Meraki solutions and SD-WAN technologies.
- Strong knowledge of routing and switching protocols and network architecture.
- Experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Meraki Dashboard, Cisco vManage).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
- Strong communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, Meraki CMNA/CMNO, SD-WAN vendor certifications) are a plus.
Preferred skills:
- Experience supporting retail store networks, including POS systems and guest Wi-Fi.
- Familiarity with cloud networking and hybrid environments (Azure, AWS).
- Knowledge of network security principles and tools (firewalls, VPNs, NAC).
- Ability to mentor junior engineers and lead network projects.
