The Global Digital Technology organization is seeking a talented Senior Technology Manager - Business Operations to lead strategic, cross-functional technology initiatives that drive innovation and operational excellence across Digital, Retail, Guest and Educator Technology teams. In this role you will also oversee technology initiatives, operations, leadership priorities, manage a team of program managers, project managers, and business analysts. 


This role is ideal for a leader who thrives at the intersection of people, process, and technology. 


You demonstrate leadership by supporting the growth and development of your team as a whole and individually. Goal-setting is as integral to lululemon as yoga and you facilitate your team’s participation in our Vision & Goals program. Defining what is authentically important for you and your team and then setting out to make it happen.


core responsibilities

  • Partners with the leadership team to develop and execute planning processes, ensuring coordination with corporate planning processes as well as planning integration across the broader organization.  
  • Helps in managing the team's rhythm of business (ROB) to ensure projects are completed on time. Works with cross-company/team counterparts to manage team participation as needed for key business events, next fiscal year planning, running business reviews, and other strategic business planning activities.  
  • Understand the end-to-end business, manage priorities, and provide actionable business insights to enable effective decision-making 
  • Collaborates with the leadership team to articulate objectives that are in alignment with the goals of the organization. Reviews adherence to privacy and compliance. 
  • Ensures internal continuation of business operations during all times, including periods of change or unusual circumstances. Contributes to finding workable solutions to business problems. 
  • Helps drives accountability for the team and organization in executing core business activities. Uses understanding of priorities based on scorecards and communicates in a simple way. Aligns priorities with OKRs and performance metrics. Creates clarity in ambiguous situations to facilitate and drive prioritization and decision making for leaders across the organization. May use qualitative data for tracking performance. 
  • Maximizing/Extending SVP, Digital   
  • Organizes and prioritizes critical issues and required information for the SVP, Digital to facilitate efficient decision making 
  • Leverages or continues to build broader networks to foster relationships that support execution across the business. Manages and cultivates relationships with leaders and peers of internal teams. 
  • Facilitates effective communication between the SVP, Digital, Technology team members, and other stakeholders; prepares and delivers clear & concise reports, presentations, and updates; coordinates internal and external communication channels to ensure consistent messaging 
  • Provides analysis, advice and support to enable the SVP, Digital to best achieve technology mission and goals 
  • Ensures the right conversations are being had across the leadership team at the right time and the right messages are then communicated throughout the org in a timely manner; manage & facilitate all leadership forums/meetings/offsites 
  • Acts as the representative of the SVP, Digital on a daily basis – identifying risks and opportunities throughout the organization 
  • Uses understanding of the organization's strategy and deliverables for the upcoming year(s) to design budgets. 
  • Builds, manages and maintains the annual technology leadership operating and communications calendar (overall rhythm of the business for the Tech org) 
  • Tech Organizational Health  
  • Serve as a key partner / central point of contact for key partners to the Tech org including Facilities, FP&A, P&C and Legal 
  • Monitors team/organization health and supports the leader in responding to team culture issues, as well as promoting culture initiatives 
  • Lead organization-wide engagements, such onboarding, as town halls, learning opportunities 
  • Drives the development of content for internal communication. Partners and leads communications team to land internal and/or external content. Communicates relevant information to the organization as required. 
  • Lead tech org’s community outreach & sponsorships 

 

qualifications

  • 8+ years in project/program management 
  • Proven ability to lead centralized governance in decentralized environments. 
  • Proactive, strong leadership, sound judgement, critical thinking, and decision-making skills. 
  • Ability to successfully navigate limited resources with competing priorities in a complex and rapidly evolving organization. 
  • Skilled in tools like Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, Teams, and SharePoint. 
  • Strong leadership, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

compensation and benefits package 

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $134,100-$176,000 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
