About this team

The lululemon Liaison Office (LLO) team is dedicated to ensuring our products are produced of the highest quality, delivered when we need them, and manufactured with partners who share our commitment to elevating the world. Not only do we manage the production of great products, but we also build great relationships. Our merchandising teams work closely with vendor partners and internal teams to drive product excellence, manage costs, and build positive relationships cross-functionally.


A day in the life: 
  • Support the LLO Merchandising Team by achieving goals for costing, production and shipment
  • Vendor Management – Train the vendors on lululemon costing, production and logistics policies, processes and IT systems; roll out new processes and systems to assigned vendors as needed
  • Merchandising – Manage the critical path from tech pack handoff through to buy released:
    1. Validate cost breakdown and negotiate cost as needed; excellent at costing – strive for vendor’s costing SOP adherence
    2. Understand style details and can communicate comments to vendors
    3. Manage cost data and provide costing report with HK LLO Merchandising Team
    4. Support the Vancouver development and sourcing teams to solve proto/costing challenges
    5. Update and maintain costing in the Bamboo Rose system
    6. Regular factory visits for sample review and observe end-to-end processes 
  • Production – Handle the buy confirmation and solve the daily production challenges:
    1. Manage production process, which includes lead times (T&A), PO systems (WIP), PO change, and packaging (WWMT) etc. 
    2. Work with vendors on capacity utilization as well as the best possible delivery 
    3. Provide production report to share with HK LLO Merchandising Team
    4. Review Past Due Date and Delay Reason Code report
    5. Communicate delivery statuses and challenges to appropriate SSC counterparts in a timely and concise manner
    6. Support liability tracker validation
    7. Work closely with our Quality teams to ensure quality standards are adhered to, and goals are met while maintaining On-Time Performance
    8. Arrange and attend quarterly vendors review meeting
    9. Visit factories for production tracking as well as output and efficiencies
  • Shipment – Support shipment booking and process with Logistic partner and vendors


Qualifications:
  • Your ideal background: a Bachelor’s degree in Textiles or related fields; 7+ years experience in a similar role within a production environment; strong knowledge of accessories items especially Bags
  • You are experienced in working directly with Vietnam vendors and able to drive performance
  • You can analyze workflow and can recognize bottlenecks; are fluent in English (local languages would be a plus)
  • Strong IT skills needed – you are an MS Excel guru! And you love working with a lot of Microsoft Office, and MRP and PDM software!
  • Experience working on PLM and PO systems like Flex PLM, Tradestone and Bamboo Rose
