about this team

The Store Supplies team is responsible for the procurement and delivery of all (non-sellable) operational supplies to our Retail Stores in North America, including custom branded products like our iconic lululemon Shopper, as well as a variety of other supplies that allow our stores to provide an optimal guest experience.  We oversee all aspects of the supply chain including sourcing, procurement, forecasting and inventory management, inbound logistics, warehousing and outbound distribution.  We work with a wide variety of internal cross-functional partners, as well as third-party logistics/warehousing providers and international inventory vendors.  Our goal is to support store operations and strategic retail initiatives through the creation of optimized supply programs, in order to provide an elevated store and guest experience.

 

a day in the life: what you’ll do

The Store Supplies Demand Planning Lead is responsible for end-to-end program management of our lululemon shoppers and other critical supplies.  They translate business forecasts and data into a rolling 24 month demand forecast for supplies, create optimal inventory management programs to manage inventory from initial rollout through market exit, and oversee the supply chain to mitigate manufacturing/logistics risks with an ultimate goal to ensure a continuous supply of goods that are required for our stores to operate.

  • Own the creation of supply plans for assigned product categories, including data analysis, forecasting, and inventory management.  
  • Work with a wide range of cross-functional partners to identify business needs and other factors that will determine product life-cycles and impact product demand.
  • Build out product forecasts and own the inventory programs for shoppers and other assigned product categories, including new product rollouts, ongoing program management (open-to-buy/rolling 24 month inventory plan), and product exit-strategies.
  • Monitor product manufacturing schedules and inbound shipments from overseas, and work with vendors to expedite orders or create risk mitigation plans, to ensure a continuous flow of goods and minimal business impacts.
  • Act as a key liaison to assigned vendors and cross-functional partners, to ensure open communication flow between our department and critical contacts, to increase efficiency, transparency and collaboration.
  • Direct and monitor outbound distribution to stores, ensuring on-time delivery of shipments to stores, and successful execution of product launches and pull-backs.


 

qualifications

  • 5-8 years of progressive work experience in supply chain management with demand planning/forecasting experience in a retail consumer goods or manufacturing environment.
  • Expert knowledge of Excel required.
  • 4 year post-secondary degree or equivalent, preferably in a related field: supply chain management, operations management, or business management.
  • Certification in supply chain management (SCMP, or equivalent such as NISCL-CSCL, MCIPS, APIC).
  • Expert in retail mathematics and Open-to-Buy, with demonstrated ability to maintain high attention to detail and work accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with ability to pro-actively maintain alignment with project partners and leadership and balance competing priorities
  • Experience with international vendor management and inbound logistics is highly preferred.
  • Experience with Power BI and/or Smartsheet is a bonus.
  • Self-awareness, with a desire for constant self-improvement (goal-oriented).

compensation and benefits package

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $81,500-107,000 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program and, subject to program eligibility requirements.
