The Store Supplies team is responsible for the procurement and delivery of all (non-sellable) operational supplies to our Retail Stores in North America, including custom branded products like our iconic lululemon Shopper, as well as a variety of other supplies that allow our stores to provide an optimal guest experience.  We oversee all aspects of the supply chain including sourcing, procurement, forecasting and inventory management, inbound logistics, warehousing and outbound distribution.  We work with a wide variety of internal cross-functional partners, as well as third-party logistics/warehousing providers and international inventory vendors.  Our goal is to support store operations and strategic retail initiatives through the creation of optimized supply programs, to provide an elevated store and guest experience.

 

a day in the life: what you’ll do

 

The Store Supplies Lead plays an integral role in managing the supply chain of all day-to-day supplies that our retail stores need to operate.  They oversee both inventory vendors and third-party logistics/warehouse partners, and manage assigned workstreams and projects, to ensure a continuous supply of goods and a seamless experience for stores.  The Lead is responsible for monitoring supplies order fulfilment, resolving store issues, flagging widespread impacts or challenges, and ensuring timely solutions and communications for the stores whether it is an existing store or a new store opening.  They own the rollout and communications of all store-facing supplies initiatives to retail stores in North America, as well as the maintenance of all support resources, tools and training for store supplies ordering.  

 

  • Direct and monitor outbound distribution to stores, ensuring on-time delivery of shipments to stores, and successful execution of product launches and pull-backs.
  • Expedite orders or create risk mitigation plans to ensure a continuous flow of goods to stores and minimal business impacts.
  • Work with our third-party logistics provider to monitor inventory levels and replenishment plans at the DC-level, to support existing store operations, new store openings, and any special initiatives.
  • Act as a key liaison to assigned vendors and cross-functional partners, to ensure open communication flow between our department and critical contacts, to increase efficiency, transparency and collaboration.
  • Owns the roll out of all store-facing store supplies initiatives to North American retail stores, managing various projects with cross-functional partners to ensure projects deliver on-time and meet objectives, while providing an optimal store experience.
  • Creates Store Supplies Team’s retail communications strategy, partnering with Daily Ops on creation and execution of communications to stores, owning updates for retail sales leaders, and creating stores supplies tools and resources for the retail stores
  • Monitors and responds to Store Supplies Service Now tickets and responsible for troubleshooting order issues in a timely manner and answering/advising stores on questions related to store supplies.
  • Drives resolution of widespread store supply issues/vibrations across all North American retail stores, by working cross-functionally with a wide array of other departments to gather critical data and propose options and solutions, gain alignment from retail sales leaders, and then operationalizes plans to ensure timely solutions that meet store needs.
  • Ensures on-time and accurate delivery of store supplies orders for New Store Openings by partnering with the Openings and Optimizations team and overseeing fulfillment of their supplies orders (Turnover Kits) by our third party supplies distribution company.
  • Vets proposed initiatives from other departments that may impact existing store ordering processes in order to ensure store experience is not compromised, and works with requestors and Retail Store Supplies Manager to resolve negative impacts and gain approval for significant changes.
  • Contributes to department reports and vendor reviews by maintain relevant data and owning updates for assigned areas.


qualifications

 

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive work experience in supply chain management, including procurement, inventory management and distribution management, ideally in the retail consumer goods sector.
  • 4 year post-secondary degree or equivalent, preferably in a related field: supply chain management, operations management, or business management.
  • Certification in supply chain management (SCMP, or equivalent such as NISCL-CSCL, MCIPS, APIC) highly preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with ability to pro-actively maintain alignment with project partners and leadership and balance competing priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and ability to enroll, lead and influence cross functional partners..
  • Experienced leveraging Microsoft Office tools including PowerPoint, Outlook, etc. Experience with Power BI and/or Smartsheet is a bonus.
  • Expert knowledge of Excel required with ability to maintain high attention to detail and work accuracy
  • Entrepreneurship – ability to work through ambiguity, propose recommendations and take calculated risks.
  • Able to work effectively in a hybrid online environment with partners that are situated across multiple locations and time zones.
  • Willing to adapt working hours when needed to collaborate with vendors in Asia, Europe or various North American time zones, in order to support business needs.

Compensation and Benefits Package  

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $81,500-$107,000 CADannually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
