About this team
The Area Tech Lead (ATL) team is a strategic technology bridge between our stores, our internal engineering, product teams, and our vendor ecosystem. As an ATL you will:
- Advise cross-functional teams on best-fit solutions aligned with enterprise principles
- Identify technology gaps and emerging needs from the field and translating them into strategic recommendations for engineering and product roadmaps
- Drive continuous improvement across store technologies, ensuring scalability, resiliency, and alignment with lululemon technology long-term vision

A day in the life
You bring deep expertise in retail technologies and act as the voice of our stores within the broader technology ecosystem. You proactively evaluate gaps in current solutions and influence future roadmaps. You partner with engineering, product, and enterprise architecture to recommend scalable designs, improvements and ensure smooth deployments. As an ATL you:
- Act as a steward of lululemon retail technology, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and future scalability
- Ensure store technology ecoystems holistically (POS, networking, wireless, guess experiences) and recommend improvements
- Partner closely with engineering and product teams to influence roadmaps based on field insights
- Act as a trusted advisor to retail leaders, ensuring technology decisions meet operational and guest experience goals
- Serve as a strategic escalation point for high-impact issues, collaborating across engineering, product, and vendor teams.
You will:
- Conduct regular store technology health checks and generate actional insights
- Provide reporting on “Retail health check” to key stakeholders.
- Capture feedback, review incidents and identify root causes, translating findings into technology improvement proposals
- Contribute to architectural, product and technology decisions for store technologies, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and sustainable
- Support vendor escalations to drive resolutions and influence vendor roadmaps
- Actively participate in new store openings, renovations, and relocations, ensuring a center of technology excellence
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with enterprise architects, engineering leaders, product managers, and vendor stakeholders to deliver unified strategies
- Champion innovation pilots by evaluating new retail tech and advising on enterprise integration strategies.
- Actively engage our cross-functional partners in “areas of opportunity” within technology, in an effort to improve our current user and guest experience.
- Act as a bridge between technology and retail, facilitating communication and understanding between these two key areas.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Information Technology, Systems Architecture, Project Management or similar
- 3 years’ experience within a Retail Technology support environment
- Understanding of Agile and Waterfall project management
- Understanding of ITIL best practices
- Strong team or technical lead experience required
- Ability to direct and maintain process improvement efforts
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to build positive relationships among senior management, staff, and client personnel
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
