about this team

This role supports the Global VMS Manager team and reports to the Director, Global Visual Merchandising & Styling. Global VMS sits within the Global Brand Experience department. Brand Experience is a core function of the Brand Marketing organization, with a sharp focus on elevating the understanding of the brand and product stories that underpin and uniquely define lululemon across multiple platforms. Comprised of the core functions of Visual Merchandising & Styling, In-Store Marketing, Digital Brand Experience and the Global Retail Design Studio, this team redefines digital and physical brand experiences by providing strategic design for the online-to-offline journeys that serve our guests and drive sales. 

 

a day in the life: what you’ll do

The Global Visual Merchandising & Styling (GVMS) Lead is responsible for creating and supporting seasonal and 365 product presentation and styling strategies that inspire our guest and deliver on business needs. This role supports the GVMS manager team across multiple divisions and categories from apparel, footwear and accessories to store layouts and fixture prototyping. The GVMS Lead works with the managers to build-out strategies in the Global Retail Studio, create resources and playbooks, and partner with cross-functional teams throughout the go-to-market process. This role works closely with Regional VMS teams, driving global best practices and standards to ensure consistency throughout the marketplace. 


  • Supports and implements strategies that bring our product destinations, activities and franchises to life in-store
  • Develop seasonal and 365 resources that empower regional execution of global brand and product priorities
  • Assist in the creation and delivery of tools and training modules to create consistency, elevate regional teams and develop talent across the marketplace
  • Partner with In-Store Marketing, Merchandising and Regional teams to launch campaign strategies at retail

 

qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or similar diploma, in retailing, fashion, business, marketing, merchandising or visual communications
  • 4+ year’s experience in visual merchandising or merchandising role, preferably within apparel and/or footwear
  • 2+ year’s experience in Regional, Market or Area level visual merchandising role (multi-store oversight) required
  • Experience creating store layouts and floorplans desired
  • Experience working in a corporate visual merchandising role preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, MacOS software
  • Working proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) required
  • Experience working in Miro, CAD, Smartsheet and Monday desired

compensation and benefits package

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $81,500-$107,00 CAD annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program and, subject to program eligibility requirements.
