about this team

The Construction team within Store Development supports the development, budgeting and execution of all brick-and-mortar development across North America. The team delivers against the defined real estate annual plan for mainline, optimizations and renovations, and supports the existing store fleet through minor works, Initiatives and roll outs.

 

core responsibilities

  • This role serves as the key support function through design development and construction execution of our stores, reporting Into the Senior Manager, Construction Services.
  • The Project Specialist will support Project Managers within Construction from the architectural permit set to financial project close out.
  • The Project Specialist will work closely with the internal and external project team to provide assistance on scope development, budgeting, procurement, and site support.
  • This role manages the project performance, relationships, and costs of external Owner Furnished Item (OFI) Vendors.
  • Oversees execution of small-scale construction projects including temp stores, agile pop ups, minor works, light-touch renovations, and strategic initiative rollouts.
  • Supports projects through development while tracking to key milestones and adhering to established budget and schedule metrics.
  • Maintains strong relationships with internal business units and cross-functional partners to ensure that new standards and processes are understood and incorporated into the execution of projects.
  • Produces detailed drawing reviews and redlines of architectural drawings to support with scope development, bid accuracy, and cost management.
  • Manages the procurement and bidding of Owner Furnished Items (OFI).
  • Communicates project schedule or cost impacts to Project Managers in a timely and professional manner to mitigate the overall negative impact to the company.

 

qualifications

  • Minimum 4-year college level degree and 3 years of construction project coordination experience within retail and/or commercial development, or a combination of equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills (internally and externally).
  • Must be versatile and able to manage multiple projects in various stages at any one time in the life cycle of a project.
  • Practiced in development processes, change management, procurement, vendor management, client relations.
  • Continuous improvement mindset, to improve both self, team and our extended partner network.
  • Ability to read architectural and technical drawings.

compensation and benefits package 

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and teamperformance. Thetypical hiring range for this position is from$66,000 – $86,600annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
