about this team

The Learning Design team partners with the business to create scalable, high‑impact learning experiences that build critical capabilities for global retail audiences. The team leads the end‑to‑end learning lifecycle from strategy and design through delivery, measurement, and continuous improvement ensuring learning is engaging, accessible, and aligned to enterprise priorities. Program Management support enables strong planning, prioritization, and execution across initiatives, ensuring work is delivered with clarity, quality, and impact. Together, these teams play a key role in supporting performance, growth, and consistent learning experiences across regions.

 

core responsibilities

  • Oversee, coach, and guide the application of learning design standards to ensure integrity and consistency across a global retail employee learning portfolio, including alignment of performance outcomes, content, practice, and assessment.
  • Own all phases of learning design on our most complex and high priority learning projects. 
  • Conduct discovery sessions to identify performance opportunities and gaps in response to business needs. 
  • Select and present the most effective and appropriate learning solution to optimize performance. 
  • Consult and build strong relationships with functional project teams, leaders, SMEs, and stakeholders. 
  • Design and develop learning materials grounded in sound learning design principles (e.g. lesson plans, facilitator guides, online courses, participant guides, job aids, assessments, and support tools). 
  • Measure impact and outcomes against pre-determined success metrics
  • Analyze learning data to improve engagement, increase quality, and/or recommend new learning approaches, when necessary
  • Flexibility when projects change; offer solutions, new goals, project plan adjustments, and proactively and effectively communicates with partners.

 

qualifications

  • 8+ years of full-time learning design experience; conducting performance analysis, setting learning outcomes, designing and developing learning solutions (including creating instructor-led materials, online/eLearning modules, blended learning, job aids, etc.), and evaluation strategies (within the retail industry is an asset).
  • 5+ years of experience developing highly interactive online/eLearning modules using rapid eLearning authoring tools, preferably Articulate products.
  • 5+ years develop multimedia content, including audio and video assets, illustrations, animations and interactive content (Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Camtasia, Canva, etc.).
  • 2+ years of experience designing microlearning and social learning interventions.
  • Proven track record of assessing learning needs and designing and developing solutions, resulting in improved individual and organizational performance.
  • Prioritizing and managing multiple learning projects.
  • Partnering with and managing external Instructional Design vendor partners.
  • Working with a team of people across various levels and positions to achieve a common goal.
  • Post-secondary education in a learning field (Instructional Design, Adult Learning, Interactive Arts and Technology, Education, etc.) or equivalent experience.

compensation and benefits package 

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $103,500–$135,900annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
