About this team
The lululemon Liaison Office (LLO) team is dedicated to ensuring our products are produced of the highest quality, delivered when we need them, and manufactured with partners who share our commitment to elevating the world. Not only do we manage the production of great products, but we also build great relationships.
Our production and merchandising teams work closely with vendor partners and internal teams to drive product excellence, manage costs, manage orders and on-time delivery as well as building positive relationships cross-functionally.
A day in the life:
As Senior Manager, you will lead the Center of Excellence for both Men’s and Outerwear, and will represent Global Production, Merchandising and Costing across those categories.
You’ll provide clarity and insights to both internal and external stakeholders in support of driving POD specific strategies and targets.
Key responsibilities:
General Responsibility
Be the key sparring partner for the Director, Men’s & Acc’s in HK LLO
Support the Global LLO Production & Merchandising Teams in achieving KPIs for costing, production and shipment
Lead specific category business needs, i.e. Team Canada
Support and drive company-wide (ad hoc) initiatives – related to process and/or system improvements
Manage and communicate global risk (i.e. tariff changes, geopolitical landscape, in-region challenges)
POD Responsibility
Own and speak to POD-related matters – including, and not limited to, POD-specific updates and opportunities
Participate in POD Strategy and be a partner to the cross-functional POD teams throughout the product lifecycle
Cross-Functional
Central contact point for cross-functional supply chain teams, related to Men’s & OTW
Support global vendor base strategy
Consolidate POD / Category deliverables and communicate cross-functionally (e.g. Costing, OTP, TNA, capacity)
Consolidate and provide key input and insights for Global Supply Chain strategic initiatives and discussions
Support and drive Global P&M teams in margin missions
Analyze seasonal result and publish report to showcase business impact through various levers by POD / Category
Host and lead weekly connects with cross-functional Men’s and OTW teams
Develop strong and trusting relationships with cross-functional teams to build true partnerships and achieve goals consistently
Merchandising & Costing
Analyze POD / Category margin KPI’s and provide directions for Global LLO Merchandising teams for best opportunities in the Men’s categories and OTW
Manage and analyze POD / Category cost data and provide costing report with Global LLO Merchandising Team
Drive POD strategy and continuous improvement in collaboration with Costing and Manufacturing Excellence leaders
Production
Provides insight into seasonal POD / Category On Time Performance
Support driving vendor strategy and continuous improvement
Provide production analysis to Global LLO Production Teams and appropriate SSC counter parts
Qualifications:
Your ideal background: a Bachelor’s degree in Textiles or related fields; 12+ years of experience in a similar role within a merchandising and production environment; strong knowledge of Men’s categories and Outerwear
You have been an awesome People Leader for over 4 years, inspiring, developing and coaching others. Your leadership skills enable you to motivate cross-culture teams and build high-performing teams
You are experienced in working directly with in-region offices and vendors in different countries and are fluent in English (local languages would be a plus)
You also have experience working with HQ and are comfortable to communicate directly with the cross-functional teams
You can analyze workflow and can recognize opportunities to drive performance from the cross-functional teams
Strong IT skills needed - you are an MS Excel guru! And you love working with a lot of Microsoft Office, and MRP and PDM software!
Experience working on PLM and PO systems like Flex PLM, Tradestone and Bamboo Rose
