We are the go-to team for all things news, media and communications. We have our fingers on the pulse of what’s happening right now and importantly what will happen next. We’re excellent communicators inside and outside of the business and we’re helping to shape how lululemon shows up to our guests. We’re responsible for delivering top of class communication strategies, and act as a critical function for the near and long term vision of the brand. We’re connected and we connect and our goal is to enhance the reputation and visibility of the brand  in North America. 


core responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of PR strategies for lululemon in North America.
  • Develop and guide the external media strategy and execution within the region to introduce the brand to new guests, position the company as a thought leader, and gain attention for the company’s leadership position in the areas of innovation, community, and culture, to name a few.
  • Manage and oversee the PR agency identified to amplify the brand and create action-oriented, inspiring PR strategies and campaigns.
  • Serve as communications advisor to the company’s cross functional leaders and regional leaders at all levels of the company. 
  • Support the leaders within the region through consistent and compelling communications strategies the create a connection between the leaders and the audiences.
  • Work closely with peers across Global PR, NA marketing, sports marketing, etc.
  • Develop and regularly report on key indicators to objectively show the impact of strategy. 
  • Stay current on news, trends and political climate and keep regional leaders informed on business impacts.



qualifications

  • 8-10 years of experience in communications building authentic and meaningful relationships with the media and thought leaders.
  • Demonstrated success guiding public relations and communications for brands.
  • Strong relationships with the media, and understanding of the digital landscape.
  • An outstanding writer and storyteller who has a track record delivering for executives on multiple platforms and forums
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; and strong presentation skills.
  • Able to quickly and easily develop relationships with people across cultures and geographies. 
  • Naturally inspires others and demonstrates an appetite for learning and personal development
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications or related discipline. Fluent in English.

compensation and benefits package


lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $130,800-$171,700 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
