about this team

The Global Employee Relations team supports P&C Business Partners, cross-functional partners, and the business on a global level. This role provides employee relations consulting as it relates to complex employee matters and decision surrounding performance, terminations, accommodations, etc. Responsible for conducting workplace investigations with regards to serious employee concerns. This is an individual contributor role within the Employee Relations team.


core responsibilities

  • Lead investigations and support with Employee Relations consultations
  • Collaborate with legal partners, centre’s of expertise (COE), and other cross functional teams to address complex Employee Relations matters and proactively mitigate risk to our people, business and brand
  • Determine what requires investigation vs. consultation and what cross-functional partners need to be involved
  • Review and make recommendations regarding investigation strategy and outcomes needed for action and resolution in a case
  • Provide consultation and risk assessment for complex conduct matters, separations and accommodations
  • Support with updates to lululemon Investigation Practices based upon legal requirements, industry standards and feedback from partners
  • Identify and foster relationships with key leaders and partners in P&C BP (People & Culture Business Partners), IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Action), AP (Asset Protection), OHE (Organizational Health & Engagement), and EPC (Employment Policy & Compliance)
  • Remain informed on global employee relations trends, internal policy updates and updates to legislation
  • Manage and balance investigation case load, timely case administration and data inputting for quarterly case reporting, and ensuring SLAs are met
  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills to efficiently manage a high volume of employee relations cases, administrative tasks, and documentation with precision and attention to detail
  • Actively engages in team meetings, virtual calls, and internal communication channels to maintain visibility and collaboration across a remote environment


qualifications

  • 5+ years of Human Resources experience with a focus on Employee Relations
  • 3+ years experience in leading complex Workplace Investigations
  • Experience supporting in a Global capacity for North America Retail, Supply Chain and Distribution, and Corporate client groups
  • A post secondary diploma, degree or certificate in human resource management or equivalent work experience
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrates a strong sense of urgency and thrives in the fast-paced, dynamic demands of a fully remote work environment
  • Actively participates in project work, collaborating with internal stakeholders to support and complete key initiatives related to annual Employee Relations objectives and processes
  • Extensive knowledge and experience providing consultation on sensitive ER matters.
  • Knowledge of employment/labour standards and human rights legislation and industry trends
  • Certificate/training in Workplace Investigations
  • Certificate/training in Conflict Resolution
  • Certificate/training in Project Management
  • Strong communication skills both written & verbal
  • Excellent organizational skills and abilities, detail-oriented and committed to a high degree of accuracy
  • Skilled at navigating and prioritizing competing demands from multiple stakeholders with efficiency and composure
  • Responds promptly and professionally to inquiries from the team, employees, partners, and stakeholders, maintaining a high level of support and engagement
  • Builds relationships quickly; must be an effective team player
  • Strong analytical skills

compensation and benefits package 

lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $81,100 - $106,500 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
