about this team


As part of the product team, the Store Planning team is responsible for connecting the long-range product strategy to the planning of our stores. We work closely with our immediate cross-functional partners, Planning, Merchandising, Store Design, FP&A, Real Estate, Operations, and the stores to create the best experience for our guests. The Store Planner is a critical member of this team and is responsible for ensuring that the specific need of each individual store is met, and that merchandising and planning strategies are properly executed. Additionally, this individual will collaborate with partners on the process of planning new store projects by ensuring the long-range product road map is driving the new store and optimization strategy while maximizing productivity. Other responsibilities will include pre-season and in-season store planning, cluster and localization initiatives, reporting and responding to current business trends and supporting the business through ad hoc requests.


core responsibilities


  • Building accurate pre-season and in-season store plans which serves as a major component into our localization strategy

  • Monitor and respond to in-season store performance trends

  • Own and collaborate on individual new store projects with Real Estate, FP&A, Store Design, Visual merchandising, and Retail Ops by setting assortment strategies to help identify the size of the box as well as the fixture package needed for each location

  • Partner with Visual Merchandising, Merchandising, and Planning to set buy targets through store clustering, ensuring the assortment for each season can fit into our stores, to achieve our sales plans and execute our localization strategy

  • Setting opening inventory targets for New Store projects and partner with New Store Opening team to track performance of these and adjust as needed

  • Creating, executing, and distributing regular reporting that identifies opportunities and risks within the business.

  • Ensure cross-functional partners are equipped with pertinent store-level insights to inform decision making

  • Build, develop, and maintain strong working relationships with members of cross-functional team as well as the operations team.


qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, statistics or related field required

  • 3 - 5 years’ experience in vertical retail

  • This is an analytical role with lots of numbers, analytics, and systems - someone with a passion for each of these would thrive in this role.

  • Strong communication skills & experience in working with multiple cross functional partners

  • A passion for: lululemon products, data-driven insights, & Vancouver

  • High proficiency in Excel

compensation and benefits package 


lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $96,800-$127,100 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
