about this team
This position is integral to the technology team responsible for delivering our premier global in-store mobile experience. The team enables Educators to facilitate product discovery, process ecommerce transactions, access guest information, utilize voice communication, and review order history. In this role, you will lead a team supporting hundreds of millions in direct revenue and enhancing the experience for more than 20,000 educators worldwide. Each quarter presents a slate of high-impact deliverables, executed through agile methodologies across four enduring cross-functional teams. We maintain a strong emphasis on collaboration and inclusivity, ensuring our collective efforts exceed individual contributions. Our team is primarily co-located in Vancouver, fostering a dynamic and engaging work environment while driving meaningful results.
Leading a team of engineers who deliver exceptional user experiences across multiple work streams simultaneously
Managing people, processes, and practices to ensure that high quality deliverables are produced
Contribute directly to the codebase through design, implementation, and code reviews, focusing on the highest impact work.
Ensuring the right skills are being used to solve the right problems by supporting the team with empathetic coaching, skills development, and career path leadership
Raise engineering quality by establishing strong patterns for architecture, testing, performance, and maintainability.
Ensuring team produces software that meets business and technology requirements which is resilient, monitorable, performant, and maintainable
Guide technical decisions across Swift and iOS frameworks while balancing speed, quality, and long-term health
Leading resolution of production support incidents in accordance with incident management policies and procedures, and ensures that application changes follow change management policies and procedures
Stay abreast of latest technology and industry trends
Champion and enforce mobile software development standards
Being a role model and lead awareness and training for your team in our IDEA program - Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Action
Bachelor's degree in computer science, or equivalent experience
8 - 10 years of experience in mobile software engineering focused on iOS, with direct working experience leading complex, global technology initiatives
At least 3 years of experience playing the role of an engineering manager, or team leader.
Strong understanding of Swift, SwiftUI, Objective-C, protocol-oriented languages, API integrations
Experience leveraging instrumentation and profiling tools to debug and assess mobile application performance
Experience with observability tools such as Datadog, Splunk, Sentry, or Firebase.
Experience creating and managing application entitlements, users and devices within the Apple ecosystem.
Experience leading both delivery teams in a fast-paced environment with high expectations and demanding stakeholders
Experience transforming legacy frameworks and practices to match leading industry standards
Strong background in CI CD for iOS and improving developer productivity.
Track record of improving stability, performance, and operational excellence through measurable outcomes.

compensation and benefits package
lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $141,800 - $186,100 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
